Ealier this year I started a project which I never got around to finisihing, documenting the places to get a coffee on Trafalgar Street in Brighton. Junior turned up before I got around to finishing it so it's on hold for now, but when I was in town last weekend I noticed that one of the places I'd shot - Forfars at the end of Sydney Street had closed with all the signage removed. It wasn't the first Forfars to disappear - the ones on Lewes Road and London Road have gone in the last couple of years - but it always seemed busy. Then yesterday I read the news that the whole Forfars business had gone under, after around 200 years. What a terrible shame - they seemed part of the fabric of Sussex and it won't be the same with them gone. RIP Forfars.

This is how all snorkel parkas should end up >:-)

Candid street shot,

At the heart of Kuala Lumpur is an area which never sleeps, and far more colourful and bustling than its bigger and more glamourous neighbours, KLCC & Bukit Bintang. Chinatown, based in Petaling Street, is also known as 'Chee Cheong Kai' (Starch Factory Street), a reference to its roots as a tapioca-producing district.

Something very very different!!! For a lady 30th and she is a funeral director and wanted to play with that idea for her cake. She also wanted to incoporate her bichon frise. I think I would have chosen a different colour for the cake or added something on the sides but she wanted it white and simple. This cake just did not want to photography well?? Is that a sign that the cake wasn't very good?!?! LOL I'm just glad I got it done!

New York's Graffiti Mecca, 5Pointz, Was Whitewashed Overnight

It was a reversal of traditional roles: Painters contracted by the owners of an unoccupied building in Queens, New York, worked under the cover of night Tuesday morning to white wash years of graffiti that had turned 5Pointz into a street art mecca.

June 10, 2011; Day 8

Today was wonderful.

It started with a six hour drive to North Dakota :)

Nate and Melissa got married, and it was amazingly beautiful.

I danced my ass off and got a sweet smile from a cute guy. I'm pretty sure I made a fool of myself infront of everyone.

A huge group of people were wasted though, so making a fool of myself was fine.

I helped the Matron of Honor clean off the tables (She was doing it by herself), and she was just so greatful, it made me feel so good. She even said, 'It's teenagers like you that give me hope for the world.'

I also realized that there IS someone for everyone. Somehow, they find eachother...and sometimes they have to wade through all of the heartbreak to finally get to the one who would mend their heart in seconds.

I'm listening to Jeanine snore and I'm thrilled about the face that I get to go to Chuck E. Cheese tomorrow with the Clevelands and Halvorsons :D

Tonight I found out that Mikey (My cousin's boyfriend) is a sweet guy. We had a hilarious conversation about him driving me home.

The reason I asked him to give me a ride home in the first place is that My cousin Quinn (Who I'm going to call 3Q from now on) told me to once at a wedding. He looked at me and said, "Mariah, if you think that someone's been drinking a lot, you should go up to them and say, 'hey, can you give me a ride home?' then watch their reaction."
