Principal eagle guitarist Glenn Frey passed the way today, he was the genius of the band, he had all the ideas ; for sure he will fly forever above their Hotel California ^^
(Hotel California was an "hotel" for desintox)
Is this the last box of Caramac in the world? Discontinued because of low sales, although that's down to Nestle skimping on the bar size.
I took this shot about a year & a half ago, it was a permanent resident for years & even had a (light blue) twin for a while.
I`d noticed it hadn't been there the few times I`d been past in the last few months, so I checked it on the doovla... its not coming up any more...
RIP Fissoo, if I`d known you were going to leave us, I would have tried to save you.
And on that note, I`m off to bed.
RIP Professor Snape, this is so sad first David Bowie now Snape, you will be missed and your movies shall live on forever.
Talk about your still life.
This RIP series was taken at the Longmire Museam in the Mount Rainier National Park, in Washington state.
These were clearly very old models.. stuffed animals.. taxidermied animals. In a newer building animal sculptures took their place and seemed more realistic somehow. I felt sad seeing these animals on display. Although I understand that this was thought the best way to teach about these animals without disturbing them in the wild, it feels disgusting to me, and I can't help but feel that they will never be at rest. I hope that someday, what remains of them will be returned to the earth, where they belong.
I should also mention... these photos were taken in fairly low light, with no tripod, a steady crowd to avoid, and my three year old threatening to cause a scene. I had to click fast and furiously. The quality of the photos may reflect this. I don't like posting photos that are technically lacking in what I want them to be but... I loved this idea so much that I compromised.
I hope to continue this series in the future.
