Alternate Realities? Canary Wharf, London, UK. July 16, 2022. Photo: ©Edmond Terakopian / 2022 (image has been rotated 180 degrees)
To make this photo more attractive, auto enhance used, which lowered the high tone, raised the low tone, increased contract and saturation, refined the details. The final one is quite different from the original. So, is this one better than the original? Well, it may bring out more than my eyes can notice, but it is a little far from the reality. Or I was restricted by the camera I used? What should we capture through the camera? reality or fantasy?
~ Beauty lies inside the eye of another youthful dream
That doesn't sell it's soul for self-esteem
That's not plasticine
Beauty lies inside desire and every wayward heart redeemed
That doesn't sell it's soul for self-esteem
That's not plasticine
Don't forget to be the way you are
The only thing you can rely on is that you can't rely on anything
Don't go and sell your soul for self-esteem
Don't be plasticine
And don't forget to be the way you are ~

My latest happy place - the Prairie River. This gorgeous waterway is going to keep me busy for a long time.
you can change reality with a little faith.
-or voodoo. but I prefer faith. :)
I'm going through a 'bird phase' for some reason.
I have three more. hm. not sure why.
Anyways, back to my weak coffee and planning my daily chores. haha. fuuuuunnnn vacation. ;-)
::hugs::
Trying to make this one look acceptable. A scene that looked (SOUNDED!) much better if you were actually there.

Hello guys!
well wow, we had such a fun time shooting this! We even filmed a little bit of it! You guys should check it out :) But anyways it was FREEZING while taking this and the wind didn't make it any better. But we still had a blast. This photo has been in my journal for probably over a year now. And we had the perfect opportunity to do it! So yeah I'm pretty stoked about that!
I hold on to the fragments of my known
Reality, in fear of letting go, of understanding
That it has changed.
Or is it me that has changed? And then
These fragments of memories are coming
Like a surf and washes away.
And when their gone I am left
With some other sort of
Reality.
Or maybe its only my limited ability to
Change an inherited point of view even
When I have no other option?

Un domingo aburrido para estar en casa . . . nada mejor que plasmar el momento
magico, y la mente despejar . . . . . en la imagen capturé los campos a las afueras
del pueblo, donde plantan trigo, y en primavera abundan las *amapolas*.

For her, day-to-day thoughts have nothing to do with the conflict in Iraq.
They don't involve gas prices, future career choices, or the upcoming election.
The greatest decision she has right now is this: Should Suzy's dress be blue, pink, or perhaps yellow?
That is her reality. Pure, simple, sweet reality.
Let's go with pink...
(Thanks, AlexEdg, for the texture)

Just looked at this ORKUT website. I'm glad such sickness is not part of our childrens' reality. Absolutely makes my stomach turn. I have a flickr friend, bullfrogs*and*butterflies who has a child featured on one of the profiles there. The fake profile actually shows a "sexiness rating" of 2 1/2 hearts! So sad...

In the Depths of Neon Dreams
In the flicker of dusk, the screen glows bright,
Pixels dance and shimmer in the fragile night.
Whispers of realms where shadows conspire,
A siren's call from the depths of desire.
Beyond the threshold of reality's sigh,
A cybernetic world spins a tapestry high.
Distant echoes—a jester's laugh,
In this surreal carnival, I slip through the path.
Time unwinds like a fraying thread,
Caught in the maze where the lost dare tread.
Digital phantoms with eyes like the void,
Conjure reflections of dreams long destroyed.
Sleep, a stranger with a face veiled in mist,
Waits in the corners, patiently kissed
By the haunting glow of my midnight affair,
As characters twirl in the electric air.
Thoughts swirl like smoke in the neon haze,
On the edge of lucidity, I linger and gaze.
A dream within dreams, a cycle unspooled,
In this Lynchian junction, I find myself fooled.
What price do I pay for these moments of play?
The clock keeps its secrets, while shadows decay.
A whisper, a flutter, as daylight draws near,
Reality beckons, yet I hold it in fear.
In the depths of these echoes, I gather my thoughts,
A tapestry woven with battles I've fought.
Each pixel a fragment, a memory's thread,
Yet in the silence of morning, I'm heavy with dread.
So here in the ruins of this fragmented night,
Lost in the labyrinth, between wrong and right,
I ponder the dawn, as it quietly creeps,
Wondering still—was it worth losing sleep?
No morning coffee, lunch or evening glass of wine by the pool - we're home and it's January... Dreaming of summer and warmer weather. Shot yesterday but didn't get it posted till today...
I took this on a swelteringly hot day in Marrakech. It is located just outside the Koutoubia Mosque, which is (I believe) the largest in Marrakech.
At the time, I was cursing the heat...but returning to the delights of a Scottish summer (with resultant shivering) has made me reconsider the merits of such formidable temperatures. Oh well, the grass is always greener. :-)
My hotel was actually located very close to this mosque, which was a pretty good location...apart from the facts that the air conditioning in my room didn't work well (I refer you to the aforementioned sweltering heat) and the fact that the faithful were (of course) called to prayer via loudspeakers at 3.30 in the morning. Oh well, who needs sleep on holiday? ;-)
