On this 85 °F Friday, October 25th,2024 Afternoon we see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Deputy Miles Gallegos talking to Charlie Vanpan outside of Molly’s Market in Sparta the county seat
Hazzard Range Hawks have their last home game of the season tonight and Miles is working security for the game, he stopping into Market to grab one of their premade meals.
Charlie has finished delivering some pumpkins and eggs to a friend in town stopping here to get other items before heading home to his small ranch on the Western slope of Lobo Mt that is east of here.
Charlie’s and late wife Sophia who passed away last year small ranch in Nutt Cat Creek Canyon,
Sophia's Father and mother's Ranch is in what is now the White Sands Missile Range, Many ranchers lost their land & their livelihoods in the 1941-1942 takeover of private land by the federal government for the White Sands Missile Range.
Sophia’s parents relocated to his brother's ranch which now belongs to Charlie and with him not growing any younger and no children to pass it on to, he looking to sell to Neighbor Gary Montoya who has been leasing grazing land off Charlie for the last 10 years. Montoya’s ranch which dates back to the 1890s has already been dealing with issues with BLM and Native Peak National Wildlife Refuge, Gary is concerned about what might happen to Charlie’s Ranch if not keep working ranch
On this chilly Sunday Jan 7th 2024 afternoon a winter storm is moving in .We see two cows looking into the Dry Bone service station and cafe . We also see Three Clay County Sheriff’s office units that are stored at StateLine sheriff’s office substation Ram and Ford are unassigned ,but Dodge Charger is just waiting for decommissioning and auction; it was always assigned to Undersheriff .
Scene takes place in State Line, an unincorporated area of Clay county in The Terreno Llano Seco basin ( TLS basin ) means dry flat land in Spanish . TLC basin is about 90 miles along ,by 20 miles wide in western Apache and Clay counties NM

Hazzard Range County sheriff’s office Sergeant Cathy Trejo assisted Deputy Jason Hernandez along assisted NM Office of the Medical Investigator ( OMI ) with a report of unattended death in the Mirador Cala development.

Mirador Cala development is 8 miles north of the city of Eagle lake and 1 mile west of Eagle lake Out of 150 planned homes only 40 were built .Out of that 12 were built in the late 1920s by a developer from Albuquerque ,between 1960s and 1990s the rest were built . The plan also called for a golf course ,community pool ,clubhouse and was supposed to be a gated community . It all never happen .
On this Warm Tuesday April 22nd, 2025, we see Eagle Lake Irrigation District worker Jose Amor talking with Forks Police Chief Triston Montoya before their meeting with Hazzard Range County Sheriff Troy Forbes and County Emergency Services Administrator Davis Hokrer about the Irrigation season starting soon they are going over river flow dates and Chief Montoya and Sheriff Forbes about Memorandum of Understanding (, MOU ) Forks and Hazzard Range county has for Law Enforcement services.
Chief Montoya and Jose Amor are talking along 1st Street behind the County Government Center in Sparta, the County seat of Hazzard Range County.
Forks comprises three ( Fork, Middle Fork, and Top Fork ) little clusters of homes and businesses that formed Forks in 1987, They consolidated to form Forks with a total population of about 1000 on the banks of Forks Creek. Most of the canyon they set in is home to small farms and ranches in the surrounding desert. All three Villages are set in Forks Creek Canyon along the Forks Creek in Apache County, NM, just over the County Line from Hazzard Range County. Also, all three are served by a joint Village Commission that has three Commissioners. The Forks Police Department ( FPD) has a budget of 5 officers, including the Chief.

On this Thursday Jan 25 ,2024 afternoon We see Hazzard Range county sheriff's office Investigator Taylor Sportisburg talking with Judy Walkens and her mother Jeissica next to Judy’s truck . Taylor is heading for a meeting with a local U.S forest service law enforcement officer for Hazzard Range National Forest . The Walkens have noticed uptick is vandalism on some of their outbuildings on their ranch along with damages on grazing allotments also . The Sheriff’s office has caught some with help of local ranchers and others that live near or close to Forest ,but few they caught are bogged down in the court system .
Scene takes place near County Government Center Park next to County Government Center that also houses the Sheriff’s Admin office in the County seat of Sparta .
