On this Windy and high in the 70s Monday, February 10th,2025 afternoon we see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Bubba Sanchez exiting Southwest Flowers & Gifts located in the 800 block of Main St in Sparta the county seat.
Bubba who is nearing 41 years with the Sheriff’s office just finished up a follow-up report here and is heading back to his unit. Being with Office for so long it is no secret that he is a lifelong bachelor who some say he married to the job, but coming out of this shop being this close to Valentine's day. Will give the two local ladies walking something to add to the local rumor mill.
On this Wednesday, August 20th, 2025, late Morning, we see Hazzard Range County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Jeff Bartly talking with Ridge Sign Service Owner Alan Ridge. He is working with the county on two new signs to replace the old ones at Fort Hazzard Substation ( pictured ) and the main office in Sparta, the county seat located 36 miles by road from Fort Hazzard. These signs date back to 2013, when Former Sheriff Travis Martin had them replaced
The gray Ninth-generation Chevrolet Suburban is owned by Fort Hazzard Substation office administrator, Karen Lime. She has a 1971 Chevrolet C-10 that used to belong to her Grandfather. She used to have a 2016 Chevrolet Volt till her husband ( soon to be ex) wrecked it while driving intoxicated back in April 2025. She bought this off a neighbor last month. She misses the mileage Volt got, but like she tells her two young kids that for now this will do.

On this Saturday Nov 18th 2023 Afternoon We see Clay County Sheriff Shawn Gray headed for his unit a 2023 Ram 1500 Classic Special Service in the parking lot of the Sheriff's office Admin building in the Philipsburg the County seat.
Since 1967 the Sheriff's office has been located in County Annex Building a remodeled railroad freight depot ,but has outgrown the space .There has been talk about joint use building with Philipsburg Police Dept and NM State police ,but has gone no further than that.
