Cheerleaders life - when the going gets tough you don't split you do the splits and cheer for your team!!!!
Next time Rams we will get them!!!
From Portland Head Light (Portland, Maine--you can see PHL in my photostream here: www.flickr.com/photos/80014607@N05/14061601380/ ), you can see the lighthouse on Ram's Island, halfway across the entrance to Portland Harbor. Here I just used one of the jagged rocks that jut from the shore to act as a frame. There are some spectacular photos of this lighthouse about showing huge waves battering against RIL during a major nor'easter (for example: www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1162107) Though I'd have loved to have attempted to capture such a photo, I'm actually quite happy my trip to Maine wasn't punctuated by such weather.

More elephant trunk than ram's horn, but it's progress, notwithstanding.

Hey, it's not a bird or butterfly! Imagine that.
We've had a lovely day. Except for one small problem. There's a snake in the barn. I'm not good with snakes.
Its that time of the year again... joyous occasion... wishing everyone a safe and colourful year end eve...

Mummified ram from the sanctuary of the ram-headed god Khnum on Elephantine Island. The animal was kept in the temple as a living image of the god and mummified with a mask of gilded plaster.
Aswan's Nubian museum opened in 1997 and houses an extensive collection of sculptures and artefacts from across the former land of Nubia immediately south of Aswan which was flooded in the 1960s following construction of the High Dam (most of ancient Nubia now lies beneath the waters of Lake Nasser).
The Museum is a more worthy replacement for the old Aswan Museum and enhances the city one of the newest and most rewarding museums in Egypt.
Pic of my German Blue Ram Cichlid. He's getting a little older and coloring up beautifully!

Matchbox 2015 RAM 1500 seen here in its 2020 nine vehicle set exclusive recolour. Despite its rather clumsily executed front end this is a casting which has grown on me a lot since it first appeared. Mint and boxed.
The final image is a cross sectional and dorsal view of a piece of computer RAM. The hardware component that allows your computer to multitask by storing information in real time. As amazing as this technology is, we come full circle back to the native element that is copper. Seized in fiberglass and coated in gold, this hardware is fine tuned to being the next critical component in our evolutionary path.
