Dogtowning it on the driveway with my bro on our first skateboard. We have longboards now but I think we'd both rather have that homemade deck in our collection now than any big name board.
This pic was taken by Dad in May of '82 and rescanned from a print recently. I thought it was a blast when I found it on Mikey's crackbook page. There's so many little hints and reminders of our childhood in here-- things I had forgotten.
That's my first Civic in the back, A 77, our "Happy Honda"... Because of growing up with it I have a lifetime thing for Hondas. Since then I think I've driven every model year of the Civic from 91 to the current 08s... Not that I was driving at the time, just riding shotgun and queueing up the 8-Track. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" was one of only two tapes we had. The other one was "Country Roads".
I also see signs of our parallel development in this photo. Ultimately I chose cars as my vehicle and conveyance of choice. But he can't stand driving-- just loathes it. It's bus or longboard if there's no other ride. Course he lives in VC where there is almost (not quite) a longboarder lane. (Wouldn't that be nice? Sheez.)

Swartz Bay bus queue. Trip to downtown Victoria costs $2.50 and takes less than an hour (if you take bus 70A) - Черга на автобус до центру міста Вікторія біля терміналу Свортс Бей. Поїздка триває менше години (автобус номер 70А) і коштує $2,50
.... and won't end for a long time. The Skybus service for the Malaysian Grand Prix was abismal. I, like most passengers, waited many hours before and after the Grand Prix in queues for buses to and from the event. (In total, I spent 5 hours waiting for Skybuses) The most grating aspect of the wait was that the buses were parked alongside the queues of passengers, but for some reason they would only let one proceed every half-an-hour or so, leaving thousands of passengers to wait.

This was at Wal-Mart last night. I'm pretty sure that Tom is hanging out at Lawn & Garden right now.
Kenn has something like 42 rechargable batteries, and they were all lined up under the charger like a Shinkansen queue a few days after New Years. I felt kind of bad for them, waiting there all that time. Clearly, my anthropomorphizing has gotten a little out of control...
This is a heavily processed photo taken somewhere within the Test Track queue in Disneyworld's Epcot park. Highlighting the lighting and the lines used in the design.
After queueing for an hour to walk out, we queued for over 2 hours to drive out of the field. There was no marshalling so it was a free for all. Everyone just pointed their cars at the exit and hoped for the best. Most were pretty good and filtered considerately (with one noteable exception!). When we got to the gate there was one poor girl sending cars through one at a time.
If they'd had four or five proper queues it would have been quicker because she could have let, say, five cars from each queue go through at a time. Very badly organised.
