One of the oldest questions in the sport of auto racing is if it is either a team or an individual sport? The correct answer is yes, to both. We know that there is no “I” in team, but the best drivers compete to be #1, which is what makes them the best drivers. Balancing the needs of the team and the personality of the driver behind the wheel is considered to be one of the most difficult jobs in all of professional sports. This Demo Day examined the challenges through the lens of four of the greatest team managers in the history of racing - Ferrari, Neubauer, Wyer, and Shelby. The featured cars for this Demo Day Included: the1933 Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Monza, the 1964 Cobra Daytona Coupe, the 1958 Aston Martin DBR1, and the1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL.

Today's question. Just had some fab feedback from the DCD designed 'MetaCard' resource training that took place in Germany last week. One of the key cards in this person centred interviewing toolkit, is the 'shift' card. The shift card is pivotal to the implementation phase of creating personal change.

Draeke Darkfold leans forward to level a squinted gaze into her features. “You say that but… I’m thinking you like the mean ones. Most women do, really.” He knew this all too well from personal experience and frequent disappointment. He muses silently a moment before sliding easily from the bar in order to stand before her. “Lemme ask you something and really think about the answer, okay?” He tilts his head, very possibly invading her sense of ‘personal space’ due to his sudden proximity. “Let’s say you had two choices…” His voice trails as he graces her with a scrutinizing stare. “One..” He lifts a single digit in emphasis. “I could spin you around, use something to wrap up your wrists, hike up that skirt of yours and bang you over a chair….” Despite the subject matter, he speaks rather matter-of-factly. “Or two..” A second digit is lifted beside the first. “I could take you by the hand, walk you out to the cliffs and serenade you beneath the moonlight."

So I have a question about explore that I don't quite understand. Is there a difference between getting onto explore and getting onto front page? Or are they the same thing?

This is such a difficult review. Having lived in Weslaco (about an hour away from Brownsville) from the late 80's to the mid 90's, and only a few years younger than Mr. Martinez, I really wanted to like this book. And, if I’m completely honest, I do think Mr. Martinez has a wonderful story to tell, but it didn't come through very well in this book. The book should have been shorter and should have been better written. The number of commas used in the book probably outnumbers the number of periods two to one! There were also statements that made me question the integrity of rest of the book: “pantaloons” was used in a sentence instead of the Spanish “pantalones,”; rattlesnakes do not add a rattle each year of their life; the “red tide,” common along the Texas coast, is not caused by shellfish. Things like this, that are easily researched or corrected, make me wonder what else in the story is incorrect, or misrepresented. There are also some beautiful passages, like “I like the water. I am good under the water, and it doesn't scare me in the least, whatever the form or velocity. Its depths and hydraulic violence do not frighten me. Water kills you when you fight it, saves you when you go with it.” I do applaud the author for opening up and providing such a detailed account of his difficult childhood.

Prescott asks the same question he asked at the last "Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me!" we attended a year ago. Something about why can't Carl Kasell (right) make ringtones instead of speaking into people's answering machines.
I have this button and it depicts a large bird (Ibis?) with its bill in what looks like a dog's mouth. Any ideas? Is this a legend/fable/story? I'm not having any luck figuring it out. Thanks!!
