For 15 days, from March 16 to my birthday, March 31, I am planning to answer questions given to me by the viewers of this photostream. I am copying my friend Todd, who is doing it on Flickr and his blog on live journal. I think it’ll be fun, and interesting, hopefully others will think so, too.

Question #6: What is your favorite food?

I do not have a single favorite food. Obviously, I like to eat, and different things strike my fancy at different times.

Savory: I love Mexican food, beef fajitas in particular, plus chile relleños, tosadas, enchiladas, carne asada, and the quasi Mexican foods tamale pie and chile con carne. One of my real favorites is a totally American dish called “Mock Enchilada Casserole,” which my mom made for us in the 60s and 70s, with layers of tortillas (or corn chips), cheese, chiles, olives, onions and peppers. I still make it to great acclaim. I don’t have the recipe for her 1950s style enchiladas though, which as a kid I used to ask for for my birthday dinner because they were my favorite. They were fairly simple: ground beef, onions, black olives (except the ones for my brother, who HATES olives to this day), cheese, enchilada sauce rolled up in corn tortillas. I should try to make them and see if I can come close. Hmmm....

I also love American staples such as hamburgers, hot dogs, meat loaf, pot roast, stew, sloppy joes, potato salad macaroni salad, cole slaw, etc. BBQ sauce and shredded pork sandwiches. I adore Cobb salads, and tuna salad sandwiches. Chicken noodle soup. Pork and beans. Boston baked beans. Sourdough french bread. I love turkey at Thanksgiving, along with stuffing, dressing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, plus the family dishes I still make every Thanksgiving and Christmas, a chili-like “Portuguese beans,” and a molded cranberry-raspberry salad with walnuts. Yum!!

Growing up in a Portuguese family, I also love some Portuguese foods, like the sausage linguiça, the eggy bread known as “Sweet Bread” (King’s Hawaiian Bread is really Portuguese sweet bread). My grandmother made a soup out of stock, beans, potatoes and fennel stems and leaves. We called it “funge soup” and it defines comfort food for me.

Italian food is almost always welcome. Not only for pizza, but I love pastas, with alfredo sauce or any of the various tomato sauces, and chopped antipasto salads, crisp warm bread with garlic and olive oil. I love salami and eat way too much of it.

I like white fish of various sorts (orange roughy, halibut, talapia, etc), shrimp and scallops, but most fish is too “fishy” for me.

I like Chinese food, too (well, Chinese food from American restaurants: kung pao chicken, sweet and sour pork, Mongolian beef, beef and broccoli, orange chicken, fried rice. And I will try other things.

As for vegetables, I find that I do not eat them as much as I like them. I like salads, but I am too lazy to make them most of the time. I like lettuce with deep green leaves, celery, onions, carrots, and tomatoes (I know it is a fruit). Other vegetables I like include broccoli, cauliflower (mashed it makes a great alternative to mashed potatoes), brussels sprouts, spinach, string beans and peas.

Breakfast foods: bacon, EGGS! Omelets (especially with chorizo), pancakes, oats, maple syrup, toast, hash browns, cranberry/raspberry juice, orange juice, grape juice.

British foods- I like meat pies, shepherd pies, and the like, if they have only beef and not lamb or mutton.

Junk foods: I love potato chips, corn chips, tortilla chips with salsa and/or guacamole, Cheetos, cheese crackers, Ritz crackers. McDonalds Big Macs, french fries; Jack ‘n the Box ‘s “Bacon Cheeseburger Deluxe” with curly fries; Del Taco’s Macho Beef Burrito or the Taco Salad or the Chicken Spicy Jack Quesadilla or the steak Tacos del Carbon.

I am sure that I am forgetting a lot of things, but you get the idea. I like a lot of stuff that is BAD for me.

Sweet: Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! In candy, puddings, cake (in fact, if I had to pin it down to one food, I would have to say “double fudge angel food cake with chocolate frosting”), brownies, ice cream, milk shakes, cream pies and cheesecake. My favorite candy is the See’s candy with chocolate cream inside a dark chocolate casing- hmm maybe I should buy myself a pound for my birthday...

But I also love berries: raspberries, boysenberries, and their family. I like them in cobblers, pies, tarts and whatever. And cherries, too, and apricot pie. Also pumpkin pie in its season, and apple pie (if it is well-made), and pecan pie.

I like lemon, too- lemon meringue pie, lemon cream pie, lemon “surprise” cake (another specialty from my childhood I have learned to make for myself), lemon drops, lemon cookies, etc.

Two bar cookies I have made for many years during the holidays from old family recipes are “Congo Bars” (there is a long story about those- if you are interested, ask me), which is a blond brownie with chocolate chips, and “Turtle Brownies,” which are made from caramels and German chocolate cake mix and are AMAZING. And I love Toll House chocolate chip cookies, like Mom used to make!!!

Fruits: I am not a big eater of fruits- I like bananas well enough, but rarely buy o eat them. I like apples too, but rarely buy them for myself. I don’t dislike oranges, but it is too hard to get to them.

Drinks: my favorite alcoholic drink BY FAR is a “regular Margarita, blended, with salt.” I drink beer and crave it on a hot summer day, and love a nice white or red wine. I admit to being crass and like a wine cooler sometimes, too. As for regular drinks, right now my drink of choice is Crystal Lite pink lemonade, but I move from one favorite to another. I also like caffeine free Diet Coke, Diet 7-Up, Diet Orange (if it is good, and not ghastly, like Shasta soda- made in Hayward, my home town, but ghastly nonetheless), and diet fruit punch, which was my last favorite and I consumed gallons of it in 2007 and 2008. I like cold waer, too, but I forget to drink it most of the time. As for coffee, I like it but rarely drink it anymore- sometimes I have iced coffee from Starbucks in the summer and “venti decaf caramel machiattos” when it is cold. I love tea and make a pot of it often in cold weather.

Very little of this is available to me on the Paleolithic Diet, which my nutritionist urged me to adopt when I was seeing him. I struggled with it and even failing often I managed to drop nearly 80 pounds in two years. It’s a diet that stresses that we ate the way our ancestors ate before the world was cultivated- the kinds of foods we are genetically programmed to eat, not the grains and highly chemical laden and processed food we are used to in modern civilization. But that’s another topic, and someone could ask me about that- I would be happy to proselytize about it!!

Here is my latest drawing! I'm just a hobbyist! I've obviously taken no art classes and don't have a steady hand, nor am I good at perspective, but I still try to create cool images! This is supposed to be on another planet where the planet's crust has just formed. The life on it came from another planet and is very advanced. This particular colony is one of the less developed of the entire species, but it's still impressive to us. The moon-like things in the background are other colonies of the same species living in satellites around the newly crusted planet. They are in a decreasing series because many are under construction still in that order. The mountains in the background are newly formed and have yet to be eroded. The architecture is inspired by humans and is slightly gothic and greek! The sky looks like it is breaking because the upper atmosphere is very violent and sediments are being dispersed in super-super-super tornado like things.

She was a beauty--a gold 45 goddess for sure! A Gold 45 Goddess exalts the archetypal form of Athena--the Greek Goddess of wisdom, warfare, strategy, heroic endeavour, handicrafts and reason. A Gold 45 Goddess guards the beauty of dx4/dt=ic and embodies 45SURF's motto "Virtus, Honoris, et Actio Pro Veritas, Amor, et Bellus, (Strength, Honor, and Action for Truth, Love, and Beauty," and she stands ready to inspire and guide you along your epic, heroic journey into art and mythology. It is Athena who descends to call Telemachus to Adventure in the first book of Homer's Odyssey--to man up, find news of his true father Odysseus, and rid his home of the false suitors, and too, it is Athena who descends in the first book of Homer's Iliad, to calm the Rage of Achilles who is about to draw his sword so as to slay his commander who just seized Achilles' prize, thusly robbing Achilles of his Honor--the higher prize Achilles fought for. And now Athena descends once again, assuming the form of a Gold 45 Goddess, to inspire you along your epic journey of heroic endeavour.

Ask me any questions! :)

Haii people xD So, I got a lot of questions from my friends, so I thought I would start this one off! Here we go :3 Oh yeah, this photo I took in the mall a few days ago xD

Who was your first Bratz doll? My first doll was First Edition Cloe. But, she's gone now, and I'm still looking for one in a good condition.

What's up with you and Blondie? xD Well, we talk in school a tad, and we text alot, but I'm afraid to get close to him like I was. Let's just say his girlfriend wants me to jump out of an airplane....without a parachute.

Who would bully you? That's a good question. Honestly, I think it's the people that are prissy and bitchy. Why? Because I'm different. I don't like being a stuck up slut. I like being a freak.

How many dolls do you have? Well, in total with every type of doll I have....I'd say around 150, maybe more O_O

When will results be up? Results will be up before the weekend :) Just school got in the way again ._.

How are you doing? I'm doing pretty good, just tired xD

Why do you have better taste in music than me? xD! I didn't know I did x3

Do you like jerkey? Weell...I'm a vegitarian so...no xD

Why am I asking so much? Because you can xD

What's your fave movie? Hmmm....I like all the National Treasures, Goonies, all Pokemon movies, and Love and Other Drugs. I can't choose one xD

Whos your celeb crush? Avan Jogia <333333333333333333333

What kind of socks are you wearing? I don't have any socks on :O

Who's your fave MH? Either Frankie or Ghoulia :D

Whos your fave bratz doll? In my collection...It's a tie between Jenna and Misty :)

Do you like the 10/10/10 Bratz better than the Bratz now? Nope, I hate almost all the new Bratz right now. I don't like the body shape, nor the faceups. I usually buy for clothing. xD

How long is your hair? It goes down to the bottom of my back...Idk how long that is exactally >.>

What is your religion? I'm Protestant, but I don't go to church...I'm not really a die hard religious girl, but I (for the most part) believe in God, Jesus, etc.

Whos your fave singer? Taylor Swift :D If you ask me what band, I will not be able to tell you. I will combust.

What pets do you have? I have a 28 year old slider/box/mud (we really don't know xD) turtle named Mr. T, and a Domestic Shorthaired cat that's 2 years old. Her name is Little Miss Kitters ^O^

Do you have any deformaties? I started laughing when I read this question xD I AM NOT AN ANIMAL. I AM A HUMAN BEING. (old movie reference xD) And well...Hmm....the whites of my eyes aren't white. They're a light blue. My doctor said it's because I was supposed to be blue eyed, but it faded and just never really...left. xD And I'm short. xD I can't think of any others!

If you had to eat either 16 raw steaks, or 500 Fire Ants, which would you pick? Uhhmm...Again, being a vegitarian I can't eat the steaks...So...I'm stuck with Fire Ants a la EWW. xD

What is your wishlist for Bratz dolls? I have many on the list, I'll make a seperate photo for that. But, my number one doll right now is Sweet Dreams Sierra I believe :D

How do you cut doll hair? I'm really not that good at it xD I usually brush it out, get it wet, straighten it, then cut to the length I want to. If I screw it all up, I figure out some way to make it work.

How do you get rid of bangs on a bratz doll? I just cut them off as close to the roots, then I go back with a nail clipper and rip out the little pieces left. xD

Please, ask more questions so I can do another photo! :D

“The answers are within…but what are the questions??”

This is my second picture for the theme “The answers are within.” This time Playful Raindrops strikes a pose in a chalkboard flat lay. I’m glad I’ve finally been able to use the “?” box, which I’ve had for a long time.

In a world marked by turmoil and discord, my heart aches for the millions of innocent children who endure suffering in its many agonising forms. I stand unaffiliated with any group, my only allegiance is to the universal cause of humanity. It is an agonising paradox that children, the embodiment of hope and purity, are forced to bear the weight of wars, persecution, cruelty and famine.

Why must children suffer? This question echoes in my soul, for their pain is an indictment of our collective failure to protect the most vulnerable amongst us. In these times of chaos, it is imperative that we unite not by ideology, but by empathy, to alleviate their anguish.

Let us, as global citizens, rally together in the name of compassion and empathy. Let us champion the cause of these suffering children, not as members of conflicting factions, but as guardians of the human spirit. For their sake, let us work tirelessly to build a world where the cries of children are replaced by the laughter of innocence, where their dreams are nurtured, and their future is safeguarded. Our solidarity in the face of their suffering is the true testament of our shared humanity.

"Sophie Shapiro's painting Cries of the Children is a deeply moving work that confronts the viewer with the stark reality of children's suffering in times of conflict and hardship. Accompanied by Shapiro's heartfelt commentary, the piece serves as both a lament and a call to action.

She writes: "In a world marked by turmoil and discord, my heart aches for the millions of innocent children who endure suffering in its many agonising forms... Why must children suffer? This question echoes in my soul, for their pain is an indictment of our collective failure to protect the most vulnerable amongst us."

The painting employs expressive techniques to convey the anguish and resilience of children affected by war, persecution and famine. While specific visual details of the artwork are not provided, the emotional weight of the piece is evident through Shapiro's words and the evocative title.

Shapiro's work aligns with a tradition of art that seeks to highlight the plight of the innocent and provoke societal reflection. By focusing on children, the embodiment of hope and purity, she underscores the urgency of empathy and collective responsibility in addressing global suffering.

In essence, Cries of the Children is not just a painting; it's a poignant reminder of the world's most vulnerable and a plea for compassion and action." Review by J.V.

After discussion over on the purist superhero thread at Eurobricks (www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=68912&st...) I've done my own Purist Question.

I'm probably going to try a few variations on him but I'm quite happy with this. The bigger lapels sort of give an overcoat vibe.

I've given him grey gloves so as he's not just a black lump.

Thanks for the ideas guys.

Well this is questionable territory, eh? :-)

The double jeopardy of albino people in addition to their poor health, they must face the prejudices of society. In Cameroon, libel, insults and abuse may be their daily and children are more vulnerable!

About Shaving Bush Tree:

Several years ago we had a question about this most unusual plant and we saw several of the blooming flowers. Its common name is shaving brush tree (Pseudobombax longiflorum). Other common names are Guiana water chestnut and wild cocoa, but I haven’t found any references using the name slipper plant. It is a native of Brazil and is cultivated as an ornamental tree in the tropics and in southern Florida. The family that grew the shaving brush tree in Lafayette grew it in a container and put it indoors during winter for protection.

The deciduous tree is about 12 feet tall and grows best in poor, sandy soil, in full sun and high temperatures. It requires regular water, but cannot tolerate over-watering. Bloom time is from late summer to early winter. The fragrant flowers open at night and stay open the next day, although quality fades during that day. The petals are pure white and curled backwards. The velvety green foliage drops off before bloom begins. The flowers are attractive to bees, butterflies and birds.

Most of my information on shaving brush tree comes from the Dave’s Garden website (www.davesgarden.com), so the plant may be available from that address.

Some of you may have noticed that, unfortunately, owing to the fact that a certain person who sells truck photos on eBay commercially has been lifting my images from this album and selling them I have had to remove 2300 photos that didn't have a watermark. I have now run around 1700 through Lightroom and added a watermark with the intention of bulk uploading them again. Rather than watermark the existing (hidden) files in Flickr one at a time it will be easier to do it this way. I definitely won’t be adding individual tags with the make and model of each vehicle I will just add generic transport tags. Each photo is named after the vehicle and reg in any case. For anyone new to these images there is a chapter and verse explanation below. It is staggering how many times I get asked questions that a quick scan would answer or just as likely I can’t possibly answer – I didn’t take them, but, just to clarify-I do own the copyright- and I do pursue copyright theft.

This is a collection of scanned prints from a collection of photographs taken by the late Jim Taylor A number of years ago I was offered a large number of photographs taken by Jim Taylor, a transport photographer based in Huddersfield. The collection, 30,000 prints, 20,000 negatives – and copyright! – had been offered to me and one of the national transport magazines previously by a friend of Jim's, on behalf of Jim's wife. I initially turned them down, already having over 30,000 of my own prints filed away and taking space up. Several months later the prints were still for sale – at what was, apparently, the going rate. It was a lot of money and I deliberated for quite a while before deciding to buy them. I did however buy them directly from Jim’s wife and she delivered them personally – just to quash the occasional rumour from people who can’t mind their own business. Although some prints were sold elsewhere, particularly the popular big fleet stuff, I should have the negatives, unfortunately they came to me in a random mix, 1200 to a box, without any sort of indexing and as such it would be impossible to match negatives to prints, or, to even find a print of any particular vehicle. I have only ever looked at a handful myself unless I am scanning them. The prints are generally in excellent condition and I initially stored them in a bedroom without ever looking at any of them. In 2006 I built an extension and they had to be well protected from dust and moved a few times. Ultimately my former 6x7 box room office has become their (and my own work’s) permanent home.

I hope to avoid posting images that Jim had not taken his self, however should I inadvertently infringe another photographers copyright, please inform me by email and I will resolve the issue immediately. There are copyright issues with some of the photographs that were sold to me. A Flickr member from Scotland drew my attention to some of his own work amongst the first uploads of Jim’s work. I had a quick look through some of the 30 boxes of prints and decided that for the time being the safest thing for me to do was withdraw the majority of the earlier uploaded scans and deal with the problem – which I did. whilst the vast majority of the prints are Jims, there is a problem defining copyright of some of them, this is something that the seller did not make clear at the time. I am reasonably confident that I have since been successful in identifying Jims own work. His early work consists of many thousands of lustre 6x4 prints which are difficult to scan well, later work is almost entirely 7x5 glossy, much easier to scan. Not all of the prints are pin sharp but I can generally print successfully to A4 from a scan.

You may notice photographs being duplicated in this Album, unfortunately there are multiple copies of many prints (for swapping) and as I have to have a system of archiving and backing up I can only guess - using memory - if I have scanned a print before. The bigger fleets have so many similar vehicles and registration numbers that it is impossible to get it right all of the time. It is easier to scan and process a print than check my files - on three different PC’s - for duplicates. There has not been, nor will there ever be, any intention to knowingly breach anyone else's copyright. I have presented the Jim Taylor collection as exactly that-The Jim Taylor Collection- his work not mine, my own work is quite obviously mine.

Unfortunately, many truck spotters have swapped and traded their work without copyright marking it as theirs. These people never anticipated the ease with which images would be shared online in the future. I would guess that having swapped and traded photos for many years that it is almost impossible to control their future use. Anyone wanting to control the future use of their work would have been well advised to copyright mark their work (as many did) and would be well advised not to post them on photo sharing sites without a watermark as the whole point of these sites is to share the image, it is very easy for those that wish, to lift any image, despite security settings, indeed, Flickr itself, warns you that this is the case. It was this abuse and theft of my material that led me to watermark all of my later uploads. I may yet withdraw non-watermarked photos, I haven’t decided yet. (I did in the end)

To anyone reading the above it will be quite obvious that I can’t provide information regarding specific photos or potential future uploads – I didn’t take them! There are many vehicles that were well known to me as Jim only lived down the road from me (although I didn’t know him), however scanning, titling, tagging and uploading is laborious and time consuming enough, I do however provide a fair amount of information with my own transport (and other) photos. I am aware that there are requests from other Flickr users that are unanswered, I stumble across them months or years after they were posted, this isn’t deliberate. Some weekends one or two “enthusiasts” can add many hundreds of photos as favourites, this pushes requests that are in the comments section ten or twenty pages out of sight and I miss them. I also have notifications switched off, I receive around 50 emails a day through work and I don’t want even more from Flickr. Other requests, like many other things, I just plain forget – no excuses! Uploads of Jim’s photos will be infrequent as it is a boring pastime and I would much rather work on my own output.

"Hey Unca John can I have some bundt cake?"

This project is an exercise in simplicity. Every once in awhile I like to challenge myself, keep my creativity fresh, by going out and doing a shoot with just my camera and a model. I shoot here in what she's wearing, (or what she's wearing underneath). I'm forced to use my environment, the model's personality, and what ever I can find to make the shoot happen. Of course with Alex and I doing these kinds of simplistic shoots for more than four years we've gotten very very good at it.

Questions About Angels

By Billy Collins

Of all the questions you might want to ask

about angels, the only one you ever hear

is how many can dance on the head of a pin.

No curiosity about how they pass the eternal time

besides circling the Throne chanting in Latin

or delivering a crust of bread to a hermit on earth

or guiding a boy and girl across a rickety wooden bridge.

Do they fly through God's body and come out singing?

Do they swing like children from the hinges

of the spirit world saying their names backwards and forwards?

Do they sit alone in little gardens changing colors?

What about their sleeping habits, the fabric of their robes,

their diet of unfiltered divine light?

What goes on inside their luminous heads? Is there a wall

these tall presences can look over and see hell?

If an angel fell off a cloud, would he leave a hole

in a river and would the hole float along endlessly

filled with the silent letters of every angelic word?

If an angel delivered the mail, would he arrive

in a blinding rush of wings or would he just assume

the appearance of the regular mailman and

whistle up the driveway reading the postcards?

No, the medieval theologians control the court.

The only question you ever hear is about

the little dance floor on the head of a pin

where halos are meant to converge and drift invisibly.

It is designed to make us think in millions,

billions, to make us run out of numbers and collapse

into infinity, but perhaps the answer is simply one:

one female angel dancing alone in her stocking feet,

a small jazz combo working in the background.

She sways like a branch in the wind, her beautiful

eyes closed, and the tall thin bassist leans over

to glance at his watch because she has been dancing

forever, and now it is very late, even for musicians.

A heartfelt, emotionally rich and brave story of the interplay between society and individual that leaves no question that a person’s identity is not so much innate as fired in the kiln of society’s judgement and hatred. So much feeling and emotion streamed off the pages of this story that I was moved to tears from the outset. Some spoilers ahead in order to analyze this book in terms of the transgender movement and how the silencing of this author’s story coopts lesbian history in order to serve the transgender cyborg movement of medical intervention.

Published in 1993 this autobiographical novel takes place in Buffalo, New York some 30 years earlier in the young life of Jess who comes of age as a butch lesbian after a rough childhood fending off the question “Are you a boy or a girl?” Her preference for wearing boys’ clothes and soon after her attraction to girls defines an identity I can surely relate to. Once she finds her way to a gay bar she is schooled by elder butch lesbians with their own code of honor informing them of how to conduct themselves and we are deep in the era of the Butch Femme lesbian world of the ’50s and early ‘60s.

And it is a rough one for cross dressers of both sexes who are routinely arrested and humiliated to such an extent that the most sensitive of these butch women are broken, becoming emotionally disconnected from their feelings and unable to receive sexual pleasuring for fear of reopening these wounds. Thus the term stone butch. We are introduced too to the femme women some of whom are masters at bringing out the gentler feelings of their butch counterpart and melting their ‘stone’. And some of whom are “pros” the prostitutes plying their trade on the streets.

The characters of this story are soon engulfed by the events at Stonewall and the ensuing gay liberation movement and the lesbian feminists who push aside the Butch Femme culture as antiquated and patriarchal. Thus the on-the-ground lived reality of working class lesbians are victimized by the esoteric ideas of educated women who manage their self perception and self value with feminist theories that keep them above the fray in a middle class academic setting.

Caught between the brutality dished out by police and the abandonment of the gay movement the butches are left adrift and Jess is tempted to follow some of her butch peers down the path of medical transition. It is because of this choice that the author Leslie Feinberg self identifies as a leader of the transgender movement and is repeatedly claimed by trans history. But the full details of her story are not told in that history. Likely because her heroine makes it clear that she is not seeking transition because she feels she is a man trapped in a woman’s body per trans ideology. No she is something in between.

“Passing” in an unjust and judgmental society has long been the lure for those who are caught between belonging and not belonging. But it is a hard position to hold that will test your loyalties and sense of self. Jess does not find relief in her new identity. She becomes a man without a past. She moves to New York and subsequently detransitions in order to reconnect with who she really is and regain her past.

In the trans activist's narrative today the silencing of the stories of detransitioners is insisted upon or seen as so infrequent as to be inconsequential because otherwise the question becomes why seek medical intervention at all when it is clearly society that needs to be adjusted to accept those who express themselves in gender non-conforming ways?

And if you look at Native American tribes those societies that recognize the third sex/ two spirit category tend to be highly patriarchal while those less patriarchal have much broader definitions of gender expressions so have no need of such a relief valve. Cross dressers have been around since pagan times as described in Feinberg's book Transgender Warriors. While medical intervention has only been around since 1952. In this historical context it is a performance enhancer not a cure for the diagnosis of gender dysphoria.

It has been said that the butch lesbian persona is a strategy for managing what we know as gender dysphoria today. Leslie Feinberg clearly wanted to help transgender people by telling her story. She dedicated the 20th edition in 2014 to CeCe McDonald a Black transwoman who was incarcerated after a bar raid. But in 1993 when the first edition came out butch lesbians were making a comeback in the lesbian community. I didn't read it at the time, but reading it now it is even more poignant and current.

The same conversations between butches taking the trans path and their female remaining lovers are going on now with just as much emotional upset albeit suppressed so as to be "supportive". And butch lesbians who don't want to transition are being pressured to by those who have and in increasingly insulting language. Not to mention the plight of teen girls seeing transition as the way to go. This is surely not the outcome Leslie Feinberg wanted, but she is dead and her family have pledged a vow of silence on her work and intentions. Stone Butch Blues however carries all that I needed to affirm that butch lesbians are a true phenomena of lesbian expression.

I read the PDF book for free downloaded from www.lesliefeinberg.net/

Thus this is not my usual photo of a hard copy book. It is borrowed from the cover of the 2003 edition. It is a photograph of the author.

There's obviously a massive conspiracy afoot.
