***From all the dolls you own, who is your favourite and why
I really don't like picking favorites. But Morten is one of them.
***Explain how you managed to get into BJD collecting
I saw these dolls a long time ago, maybe 2004. I wanted them but due to the situation in my country I didn't even dream about them so I forgot about them for years. Once I got outside my sister Chu showed me a Blue Fairy picture, telling me how much she wanted one. I then remembered their existence and noticed I was in the right conditions to have my own dolls.
***Name the very first doll you ever bought
My first head was a Luts '08 event man head (Coltrane). My first complete doll was a DOD Lahoo (Loren).
***Which doll do you plan to buy next?
I just bought my "next" doll. He will be a little version of Coltrane :3 After that, I hope no more events or limiteds show up and I'll be able to concentrate on all the bodies I need for my floating heads army.
***Are you currently waiting on any dolls?

***How many dolls do you currently have?
I'm gonna skip this one. Too many, and I'm ashamed.
***Name the very last doll you bought.
Last thing that arrived here was my DIM MNM Alucard head. Complete one was... Granado Boyd?
***What is the worst thing about this hobby?
All the money and time that is able to suck from you. And some people I've met.
***What is the best thing about this hobby?
Ah, so many things! I think the hobby fuels everyone's creative side, like writing stories, or making things for them. I think my most emblematic case is photography. What I've learned about photography, I've learned because of them. I've also gained knowledge regarding shipping online an all that. And of course, I've also met nice people.

Dollshe. It's the only company out there that I can tell I like every single sculpt from and I wouldn't mind owning each one of them. Except for Bernard.

Bodies, bodies ,bodies!
***Are there any dolls you wished you had never purchased?
No. I'm very careful about the purchases I make, as I'm aware I get too attached and I won't be able to sell them, even if at first glance they don't seem to work out. Take my Soom Chrom, for instance. He had to be nearly 2 years with me before having his own personality. And now I love him lots.
***Who are your favourite face up artists?
Oh boy, where should I start? I love so many, and I'm always saving their pictures into my HD. Hum... SDink, Lyn, REEPaint, Pearls of Danube, Faint Pulse... I am fan of the realistic/delicate type. I also marvel at those who can master the brush and paint thin lines, like Navci :3
***What is a must when considering a purchase/pose ability/faceup/age/etc?
I've come to the conclusion that what's most important to me in a doll is the face. And it has to show the real age of the doll. I can't see MSDs as adults, I just can't. Unless they're Souldoll Vito of Lumedoll mature tinies, or the sort. So unfortunately, if I want a 30yo looking doll, I must buy a SD-70cm doll. It's sad as it hurts my wallet a lot. I don't care about the bodies as I'm sadly used to poor posing ones.

After industrial use with Steetley Minerals, Buxton, it was bought by Peak Rail arriving at Rowsley on 25/07/2003
On 25 May 2019, it was noted as still stored.
Alun has confirmed it was scrapped on 14 June 2019 with its parts being used for other locos.
If anyone can clear up the mystery of the identity of this and the what is possibly 412432 at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, I would be eternally grateful 😊

No question Anna compels a striking image, perfectly aligned with the immense 550 ft high Washington Monument. Hands on her hips projects power and confidence yet her face is remarkably not forced, resolute but poised. This image inspires me because nothing was planned or staged, it happened naturally. Lancaster Canal, 2:45 pm. I stood for a while at this turn in the canal, where the towpath winds up over the bridge. The light was good, with overcast skies, but not many people came along this side. I stopped this man, who was going up the winding stairs, and explained my project. He asked if I would be asking him a lot of questions, and I said I just wanted him to tell me something about Lancaster.
Ian came to Lancaster as a student, when the university had just had its first graduates, and it was still housed in town and the first buildings at the site out of town, including Bowland College, had just been completed. He studied Economics. After his degree, he went away for a time, but he came back to Lancaster, and has lived here ever since. He likes the canal system, the Castle, the sense of history. I asked him, as I have asked others, what is their favourite place in town, and this genuinely puzzled him. He turned and looked down the canal for a while, but he couldn't think of just one place, and he said again, after I gave him my card, that he had to think about it. It occurs to me that this question works best for visitors and people who have not lived here long, who sees the place as a set of interesting sites; someone who has lived here much of their life may not see the town that way, but may have more complex personal associations. In any case he did mention the canal first, and that is what we see in the background here, looking under the Quarry Road bridge.

To quit or not to quit? That has been my question. For over a year, actually. But, after balancing the pros and cons of smoking (which obviously weighed heavy on the cons side) and journaling each cigarette I smoke for the past several weeks, I have finally made the decison to quit. Of course, what good is a decision without taking action, right?
I'm reminded of the old adage which goes something like this: Three frogs were sitting on a log. Two made a decision to jump. How many were left? One? Wrong. The two frogs only made a decision to jump; they did not actually do it. All three are still sitting on the log.
So, here's the deal... Today, I have made the decision to stop smoking. Tomorrow (don't laugh), I'm going to actually do it. And, as part of my journey I'm going to add a counter with my 365 project which will tally my smoke free days. The way I see it, 365 has already been an experience of personal enlightenment, so why not incorporate this significant act of self love into it? AND, the timing is just right, since day two will be on Saturday, and FGR's group pick for that day is "Screams of Anguish". Lol...that should be an easy one.

The Sea Rabbit (Monafluffchus americanus) of Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York – This unique sea-dwelling rabbit, which is actually a close relative of the sea lion, was officially discovered and investigated by Henry Hudson when he first visited this land to colonize the area by order of the Dutch government. It was named New Amsterdam -- today’s New York City. This island was named after he saw the beach covered with strange swimming wild rabbits. The word “Coney Island” means “wild rabbit island” in Dutch (originally Conyne Eylandt, or Konijneneiland in modern Dutch spelling). Sea rabbits were also referred mermaid rabbit, merrabbit, rabbit fish or seal rabbit in the natural history documents in the 17th century. The current conservation status, or risk of extinction, of the sea rabbit is Extinct in the Wild.
This website features two species of sea rabbits, which have been taken care of by Dr. Takeshi Yamada (山田武司) at the Coney Island Sea Rabbit Repopulation Center, which is a part of the Marine biology department of the Coney Island University in Brooklyn, New York. They are – Coney Island Sea Rabbit (Monafluffchus americanus) called “Seara” and Coney Island Tiger-striped Sea Rabbit (Monafluffchus konjinicus) called “Stripes”.
The photographs and videos featured in this website chronicle adventures of the Coney Island sea rabbits and the world as seen by them. This article also documented efforts of Dr. Takeshi Yamada for bringing back the nearly extinct sea rabbits to Coney Island in the City of New York and beyond. Dr. Yamada produced a series of public lectures, workshops, original public live interactive fine art performances and fine art exhibitions about sea rabbits at a variety of occasions and institutions in the City of New York and beyond. Dr. Yamada is an internationally active educator, book author, wildlife conservationist and high profile artist, who lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

Other Common Names: Coney Island Sea Rabbit, Beach Rabbit, Seal Rabbit, mer-rabbit, merrabbit, Atlantic Sea Rabbit.
Latin Name: Monafluffchus americanus
Origin: Atlantic coast of the United States
Description of the specimen: In the early 17th century’s European fur craze drove the fleet of Dutch ships to the eastern costal area of America. Then Holland was the center of the world just like the Italy was in the previous century. New York City was once called New Amsterdam when Dutch merchants landed and established colonies. Among them, Henry Hudson is probably the most recognized individual in the history of New York City today. “This small island is inhabited by two major creatures which we do not have in our homeland. The one creature is a large arthropod made of three body segments: the frontal segment resembles a horseshoe, the middle segment resembles a spiny crab and its tail resembles a sharp sword. Although they gather beaches here in great numbers, they are not edible due to their extremely offensive odor. Another creature which is abundant here, has the head of wild rabbit. This animal of great swimming ability has frontal legs resemble the webbed feet of a duck. The bottom half of the body resembles that of a seal. This docile rabbit of the sea is easy to catch as it does not fear people. The larger male sea rabbits control harems of 20 to 25 females. The meat of the sea rabbit is very tender and tasty.” This is what Hadson wrote in his personal journal in 1609 about the horseshoe crab and the sea rabbit in today’s Coney Island area of Brooklyn, New York. Sadly, just like the Dodo bird and the Thylacine, the sea rabbit was driven to extinction by the European settlers’ greed. When Dutch merchants and traders arrived here, sea rabbits were one of the first animals they hunted down to bring their furs to homeland to satisfy the fur craze of the time. To increase the shipment volume of furs of sea rabbit and beavers from New Amsterdam, Dutch merchants also started using wampum (beads made of special clam shells) as the first official currency of this country.
At the North Eastern shores of the United States, two species of sea rabbits were commonly found. They are Coney Island Sea Rabbit (Monafluffchus americanus) and Coney Island Tiger-striped Sea Rabbit (Monafluffchus konjinicus). Sadly, due to their over harvesting in the previous centuries, their conservation status became “Extinct in the Wild” (ET) in the Red List Endangered species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Currently, these sea rabbits are only found at breeding centers at selected zoos and universities such as Coney Island Aquarium and Coney Island University in Brooklyn, New York. The sea rabbit is one of the families of the Pinniped order. Pinnipeds (from Latin penna = flat and pes/pedis = foot) are sea-mammals: they are homeothermic (i.e having high and regulated inner temperature), lung-breathing (i.e dependant on atmospheric oxygen) animals having come back to semi aquatic life. As soon as they arrive ashore, females are caught by the nearest adult male. Males can maintain harems of about 20 females on average. Several hours to several days after arriving ashore, pregnant females give birth to eight to ten pups with a dark brown fur. As soon as birth occurs, the mother’s special smell and calls help her pups bond specifically to her. The mother stays ashore with her pup for about one week during which the pup gains weight. During the first week spent with her newborn, the mother becomes receptive. She will be impregnated by the bull, which control the harem. Implantation of the embryo will occur 3 months later, in March-April. During the reproductive period, the best males copulate with several tens females. To do so, males have to stay ashore without feeding in order to keep their territory and their harem. In mid-January, when the last females have been fecundated, males leave at sea to feed. Some of them will come back later in March-April for the moult. The other ones will stay at sea and will come back on Coney Island only in next November. After fecundation, the mother goes at sea for her first meal. At sea, mothers feed on clams, crabs, shrimps, fish (herring, anchovy, Pollock, capelin etc.) and squids. When she is back, the mother recovers her pups at the beach she left them. Suckling occurs after auditive and olfactory recognition had occured. In March-April, the dark brown fur is totally replaced by an adult-like light brownish grey fur during the moult that lasts 1-2 months. This new fur is composed by 2 layers. Externally, the guard fur is composed by flat hairs that recover themselves when wet. By doing so, they make a water-proof barrier for the under fur. The underfur retains air when the seal is dry. Because of isolating properties of the air, the underfur is the insulating system of the fur. In March-April, the fur of adults is partially replaced. First reproduction occurs at 1-yr old in females. Males are physiologically matures at 1 year old but socially matures at +2 years old.
NOTE: The name of Coney Island is commonly thought to be derived from the Dutch Konijn Eylandt or Rabbit Island as apparently the 17th century European settlers noted many rabbits running amuck on the island.

Timmy: Good morning. As the self-appointed chief of the Texas Kritter Krewe, I will be making a brief statement regarding our evacuation of Hugetown. Afterward, I will field questions as long as I feel like it.
As all of you know by now that the Gulf Coast area was struck by Hurricane Ike last Friday. I just want to make sure that all of our friends and relatives know that I am OK. My part of Hugetown was in the eye wall for several hours of intense wind and rain without the break that would have come if the eye had passed directly overhead. As a result, I was left without lectrical power, running water and unreliable connections for communications devices. After several days of making the best of a bad situation and inspired by the words of the great philosopher Thomas Earl Petty, who said "Now baby you don't have to live like a refugee", I decided that the best alternative was to evacuate until conditions improve.
I made the decision to head where important people hide out in times of trouble and danger, a ranch in Crawford, Texas. I arrived at the front gate and pressed the buzzer to ask if I could hang out there until the storm damage is all cleaned up -- the voice on the other end said that only Dubya could OK that and he couldn't be interrupted while watching cartoons. I asked to speak to that other dude, the one who should be playing The Penguin in the next Batman movie -- they said he couldn't OK that but he would love to take me hunting sometime...
Since that was a bust, I decided to head further north into Indian Territory, since I am on pretty good terms with the Osage. Once I crossed the Red River, I was happy to find that the Native Americans had built a turnpike to provide us safe passage through their nations. Upon arriving at the Fairy Godmother's house, I have been able to relax and enjoy the kritter comforts to which I am normally accustomed.
I'll now consider answering some of your questions...
Snort the Bull, Beanie Times: You only make references to yourself. Were you alone in this escape from the hurricane-ravaged conditions of your neighborhood?
Timmy: Nah, Mommy, Daddy and all those other stuffed dudes were with me and are doing just fine but I'm the only one I really care about, so let's stick to the most important subject here: ME!

Timmy: Good question. At first, there were plenty of snacks, even enough to share with friends. When everything in the fridge and freezer started to go south, Mommy and Daddy wouldn't stop whining... and with no stores open, there was just no shutting them up -- it was all like "We want to eat more than two meals a day. We want a balanced diet."
Fluffy Muffins, Stuffed Cat FanMag: A follow-up question, if I may... You mentioned sharing snacks with other victims of Hurricane Ike. What about the rumors that you distributed cookies contaminated with monkey-butt?
Timmy: I will not, at this time or in the future, discuss the current or past activities of my butt or its proximity to hurricane relief supplies. Those supplies were distributed in good faith and were appreciated by those who received and consumed them. Would you ask John McCain that question?!
Scruffy, Knitters Gone Wild: What about the relief supplies to be distributed through official channels?
Timmy: I never saw any of those. As a matter of fact, our congressman was on TV asking for food and water for the Texas DPS officers and National Guard. FEMA was supposed to give them some, plus extras for the hurricane victims. I know that the E and M stand for "Emergency Management" but Mommy will get really mad if I say what Daddy told me the F and A stand for...

Timmy: Dude, once I heard that they would be handing out "Monkeys, Ready to Eat" -- I didn't stick around to become somebody's snack pack!

Timmy: My experience has been that most Native Americans have a pretty good sense of humor. The Osage were uprooted and relocated twice -- only to find that the land they were given was sitting on top of a whole bunch of oil! Now they can just laugh and laugh...

Timmy: Sure, all of the stations were closed because they were either out of gas or didn't have power but as long as we have Daddy, there will never be a gas shortage wherever we are.

just for fun. a painting i did for work. it was just supposed to be something silly for the facebook page. the idea was to portray the characters from a movie in the style of some artist. so this is painted over a famous photograph and (though it's mostly only texture remains) it has a similar composition. i actually used another painting for the project, but i thought i'd just let this one see daylight. can you guess the original photographer? can you guess the movie?
This butterfly is called a "question mark " because of the white field mark in the middle of its wing. When the dot is missing, the name changes, and the butterfly is called a "comma." Isn't that fun?

My question is for those who use papilio waterslide decal paper for ink jets.
I have been having quality issues with my printings lately, basically some of the paper is pixelated or looks smudged. I have replaced my ink cartridges, tried a newer printer and ordered new decal paper from papilio hoping this would help.
Has anyone else had an issue lately?
