I was lucky enough to have a quiet evening in the cathedral with a 5x7. It was quite dark inside, the shadows up in the rafters registered 1EV implying 1 min @ f/16 for TXP @ 100, 5 minutes with reciprocity. I gave it 10min for good measure. The only problem was using the darkslide to cover the lens when people walked through the scene. So, this probably took 20 minutes for a 10 minute exposure :)

A slow Sunday, and that meant slow film. Grabbed a roll of Efke25, and aimed it through my 500cm at a mirror.
I've been looking forward to a day to use the film in the Hass, and even more so, to try Pyrocat-HD developer.
It's not real photography, until your taking pictures of yourself in a mirror, and you're wearing a mask, and rubber gloves when you develop the film.

The more consecutive trips I make to familiar trails in the Hocking Hills region, the more I begin to hone in on the details of each trail.
This rag-tag group of trees must get passed over hundreds of times a day in favor of the falls immediately to their left (camera right). Spending a little time with them, however, gave me the chance to compose and present something fresh from Old Man's Cave's Upper Falls.

Pinhole photography is not something I thought I would ever try. A few weeks ago, a coworker brought in these very neat, handmade pinhole cameras and I decided it was time.
The 8x10 Pinhole was made by Bob Grachien, has a field of view similar to using a 120mm lens, with an aperture of f/264. You need a lot of light to make it happen, but the pinhole is quite a relaxing way to work.

CN Locomotive 6167 started life in 1940, completed by Montreal Locomotive Works. It is a Northern Type 4-8-4 Locomotive. It spent the early part of its career in Eastern Canada, running troops, munition, and supply trains to support the allied war effort in Europe. In 1943, they survived a head-on collision with another locomotive. Both were repaired and returned to service to support the war. Following the war, it continued to serve as a mixed-use locomotive. In 1961 it was retired from service and brought to Ontario as a tourist locomotive and earned fame as the most photographed locomotive in Canada. However, its usefulness was short, ending in 1964 due to extensive repairs needed and the end of the tourist service by CNR. Sadly the locomotive languished, painted every so often, and by the 1990s had been set on fire and vandalized. Efforts to preserve the locomotive started in 2002 and, by 2020, now fully restored, was moved to a new home in John Galt Park, where it sits today. It would end up in Guelph in 1967, donated by CNR to the city for Canada's Centennial.

Having already been to this location several times, what advantage could there be to making another trek to Broken Rock Falls, this time in a downpour? The extra-saturated, misty air made for a fresh perspective on this tiny, hard to reach falls in Hocking Hills!
Climbing up a steep hill twenty or so yards from previous days work, I was able to find a composition where using the new Nikkor telephoto lens' compression was to my advantage. What seemed like an incredibly long exposure later, I had this!
