This is the biggest mountain overlooking Jasper as viewed across Pyramid Lake.

Lighting conditions - early morning sun on the mountain, also there was quite a lot of smoke haze from forest fires on the side of the sky where the sun was (this gave the nice golden light on the mountain and forest).

I shot this hand held with a 20mm AF-D Nikkor f2.8 at f11, 1/30, 800 ISO.

Nowadays only D2C sets would pretty much exclusively use baseplates but I thought it being used in a normal retail set like this would be a bit of a change of things (using a 16 x 32 baseplate).

The first base started was obviously the pyramid, as it’s an easy thing to make and there isn’t really much to do with it besides adding traps… which is exactly what I put in with the coffin on the side, along with a place that holds jewels and gold.

With the vehicle I picked to go along with this are a helicopter and halftrack.

Honestly I saw this as a chance to bring in a mistika wing with the Helicopter. Now it may be a bit bigger but the inside does have Panel for support.

With the halftrack I thought it would be a good idea to use the 2 seat vehicle base (30149) as part of it. Itt have a lot of those curved slopes with stud notch to make some detail. It able to hold up supplice of 2 3x4 crate, contain a laptop, 2 brush, 2 water bottle, a water container, etc.

Sony A7RV combined with Sigma 70mm Macro. My barbeque pit cover in the rain and trying to photograph water droplets. To my surprise the palm trees overhanging the pit show up reflected in a water drop. The prismatic effect in the drop produces the pyramids, and it reminds me of when I visited the Great Pyramid many years ago. I did a fairly extreme crop in light room. Some contrast and sharpening for effect. Many ask why do you need a 61 megapixel sensor? This photo is my answer.

What is probably the most amazing about many of these Mayan sites is how untouched they are - many "hills" you walk by are still untouched pyramids and temples.

Sunway Pyramid is a distinctive retail landmark located in the heart of Petaling Jaya. It was opened in July 1997 as Malaysia's first themed shopping and entertainment mall.

One of the mall's most easily recognised designs is the Egyptian-inspired Pyramid with a lion "standing guard" at the entrance. The rest of the building is embellished in the monumental style, complete with pseudo-hieroglyphics decorating facades, along with numerous Pharonic statuaries.

Sunway Pyramid is also one of the only shopping malls in Malaysia to have an indoor ice skating rink.

This place opens its door at 10 am. That's why it looks so deserted in this shot!

The Louvre Pyramid (Pyramide du Louvre) is a large glass and metal pyramid, surrounded by three smaller pyramids, in the main courtyard (Cour Napoléon) of the Louvre Palace (Palais du Louvre) in Paris. The large pyramid serves as the main entrance to the Louvre Museum. Completed in 1989,[1] it has become a landmark of the city of Paris.

I was lucky to pull over off the side of Nevada 447 and witness one of the most spectacular lightning storms I have ever seen. This is one of my favorite frames from nearly an hour of shooting this magnificent display, just after sunset.

Commissioned by the Pharaoh Sneferu, the bent pyramid was an example of the earlier attempts to build a freestanding pyramid.

After attempting to complete the pyramid at 54 degrees from the base, the builders had to correct the shape to 43 degrees to top off the pyramid.

This pyramid was largely regarded as a failure and Sneferu ended up commissioning the Red Pyramid shortly after.

The 117 foot high main pyramid at Uxmal in Mexico's Yucatan is known as the Pyramid of the Magician. In keeping with the site's name which means "thrice built", this pyramid has been found to sit on top of several earlier temple buildings.

I remember way back when reading about the controversy of Pei’s pyramid, but I love the contrast of new and old.

Lovely to see the pyramidal orchids coming into flower. Just a handful at the moment, but the more I looked, there were absolutely masses of buds, so in a while, the bank will be a mass of pink.

The vast funerary complex of king Djoser at Saqqara is the earliest in Egypt to make extensive use of stone masonry. Surrounded by a 10-m high fortification wall lined with bastions like those seen in the foreground, it can only be entered through one gate at the southeast. Behind looms the stepped mastaba (conceived as five "bench" tombs stacked on top of one another) concealing a network of subterranean burial chambers. The tallest monument in the world in its day, it inaugurates the period of rapid innovation that culminated in the enormous 4th-dynasty pyramids of Khufu and Khafre at Giza.

Commissioned by the 3rd Dynasty king Djoser to celebrate his eternal rule as a divinity (reflected by his ruling title Netjerikhet), the many architectural innovations found here are credited to the designer Imhotep, the first architect whose name has been recorded for posterity. Old Kingdom, early 3rd Dynasty, 27th century BCE.

Accessible only by a boat or hazardous swim, Pyramid Rock is a remnant of a lava flow resting on a basement of Woolamai Granite. At low tide there is an extensive area of granite exposed, the largest outcrop of this material outside Cape Woolamai. The basalt is surrounded by an apron of coarse scree and gravel beaches, the dark colour of this material contrasting with the lighter coloured granite. This is one of the few locations on Phillip Island where the lava flows are absent or very thin and represents a high point on the pre-volcanic land surface.

This is the best exposure of the base of the older volcanics on Phillip Island and a major example of the contact between the volcanics and the pre-volcanic land surface. The presence of inter-volcanic gravels indicates the Woolamai Granite was probably never completely covered by lava flows.

This is from a breath taking at sunrise at Pyramid lake in early December. This is a 3 bracket shot. I love the reflections on this The orange rays in the clouds remind me the flames and burning embers of a dying camp fire.

Too hot to be out walking for long today, but the butterflies loved it, and we found 4 types of orchid looking lovely*.
