One of the most ornate stations in the system, and therefore a frequent stop on visitors' itineraries, this station is located next to the Koryo Hotel. Most visitors terminate there, very few are being allowed to ride any further, most likely because the other stations are far less stunning.

Pyongyang, DPRK.
This picture, as well as the previous one in the stream, were taken a block away from Kim Il Sung Square, near the foreign publishings bookstore. The vast, austere green building reveals a large courtyard... The picture is intriguing, I would love to know what is going on in this shack.

평양 해방탑.
Erected in 1946 "to commemorate the exploits performed by the Soviet army who helped (!) the Korean people with blood in the battle for the liberation of Korea", as the book "Pyongyang review" puts it. Rebuilt in 1985.
The Kaeson station is rarely seen by foreigners. For many years, only the Puhŭng and Yŏnggwang station were accessible to tours, on a showcase ride of the Metro system, leading to speculation that no other station actually existed. This rumor is obviously false, and select visitors have lately been granted broader access to the system.
As it turns out, most stations, while spotless and in a state of good repair, are far more utilitarian than the two showcase stations, which might be the basic reasons while they used to be inaccessible.

Famous for its cold noodles (랭면 in Korean). True to Socialist bad practice, it is closed on Sundays.
This station is probably the only one which name matches, indirectly, its geographical location. It is located next to the Arch of Triumph.
