Traffic varies. There was very little in 2008 and a bit more in 2009 but this year at times it was nearly like a city in the 1960s. The railway station has more traffic and a few intersections in Pyongyang you actually could have cars three or four deep waiting. These are few but sometimes it is surprising. Still, there is little traffic. I would love a bicycle. There are more motorcycles these days. Maybe I should do a set and collect motorcycles.

A station rarely seen by foreigners, who are typically confined to a one-stop showcase ride. Indeed, most stations are far more utilitarian than the showcase stops.

The bowling alley in Pyongyang is hugely popular, one of a few western-type entertainment opportunities in Pyongyang. Nearby is the country's only pizza parlour, apparently this is equally popular but we didn't get to visit it.
