Схема линий Пхеньянского метро

Пхеньянский метрополитен (кор. 평양 지하철) — система линий метрополитена в столице КНДР городе Пхеньяне. Был открыт 6 сентября 1973 года[источник не указан 72 дня] и стал первым на Корейском полуострове (метро в столице Южной Кореи Сеуле было открыто в следующем, 1974 году, сейчас его протяжённость более чем в 10 раз превышает длину пхеньянского). Имеются 2 линии общей длиной 22,5 км. Станция «Кванмён», расположенная близ мавзолея Ким Ир Сена, после сооружения мавзолея была закрыта.

Линия Чхоллима ( Красная линия ) обслуживает электродепо «Пульгынбёль» с 1973 года. Линия обслуживается 4-х вагонными составами из вагонов серий D и DK4.

Линия Хёксин (Синяя линия) обслуживает электродепо «Кванбок» с 1985 года. Обслуживается 4-х вагонными составами из вагонов серий D и DK4.

Пхеньянское метро — самое дешевое в мире, проезд стоит всего 5 северокорейских вон, то есть около 3 американских центов.

평양대극장.

Opened in 1960, this monumental building marked a turn in North Korean architecture. Until then, most construction had followed Soviet design. The Grand Theatre with its tasteful combination of traditional and modern elements was the first building in "national style".

The theatre occasionally stages one of the five classical revolutionary operas such as "A sea of blood" or "A true daughter of the Party".
