The Russian Embassy occupies a large compound in downtown Pyongyang but its size bears no relation to the Russian influence on North Korean politics (which seems almost non-existent nowadays).

Erected in 1961, this statue of a winged horse carrying a worker and a peasant woman "symbolizes the heroic mettle and indomitable spirit of our people in the epoch of the Workers' Party who are making ceaseless innovations and continuous advances in the spirit of Chollima", as the official guidebook "Pyongyang review" claims. At present, a new speed campaign is taking place, pressing people to toil at the "speed of Huichon, the new speed of Chollima".

After the Arirang performance.
rirang is held in May Day Stadium in Pyongyang for almost two months each year in September and October. The stadium holds 150,000 people, but due to the nature of the spectacle only about 40,000 seats are available for the audience. It starts at 8pm and lasts for 90 minutes.
Arirang is reported to have 100,000 performers including a card section of 20,000 students. The card section is essentially a giant display of 20,000 human pixels that is capable of split second changes.
The other 80,000 performers are beautiful women, soldiers, young people, gymnasts, singers, muscians, acrobats, or children as young as four or five. They are not paid for their performance.
