Deutschlands größte Schrägseilbrücke verbindet Deutschlands größte Insel mit dem Festland.
Wie eine überdimensionale Stimmgabel erhebt sich der Pylon der neuen Rügenbrücke über den Strelasund. Der Jahrhundertbau ist mit einer Höhe von 127,75 Metern längst ein neues Wahrzeichen Stralsunds.
Der filigran wirkende Pylon ist in zwei Säulen und drei Querstreben geteilt. Acht harfen-förmig angeordnete Stahlseile tragen die Brücke.

This is the second of two recent stunningly beautiful rainbows.
Despite our squally showers this afternoon and this evening - this was the scene at 9.15pm tonight from the rear of my home looking East just before sunset at 21.45pm.
At the time, there was another heavy rain shower as the sun sat low above the horizon in the West to the front of my home.
Quite remarkable!

Another shot taken within a stone's throw of my house in Beeston Rylands. I used the 400mm end of my zoom to compose this image of the end of a rainbow positioned just behind this pylon.
Kinda makes me wonder if this boardwalk path runs under the power pylons all the way to the distribution facility in Newark, California.
The Awatere Valley road prvides access to all the electrical power. So, there are pylons all along the road for easy maintenance.
I would've liked to have nailed the sharpness more accurately, but I've posted this image nevertheless, as there's something interesting about the owl set against the geometry of the pylon. Maybe just to my taste...
