Common in wooded areas. It is mainly olive-brown overall with a strong olive tinge on its wings and a dark brown eye. Tiny with rapid flight.

Several species were present and I was delighted to find this White-browed Bulbul among them. This was the only site we'd seen this species at during the three weeks.
There were also Grey-headed Bulbuls here which we'd only seen previously at Bondla. Sadly, as then, I failed to get a worthwhile shot though.

The Red-vented Bulbul is a resident breeder in tropical southern Asia from India and Sri Lanka east to Burma and southwestern China. This is a bird of dry scrub, open forest, plains and cultivated lands. In its native range it is rarely found in mature forests. Red-vented bulbuls feed mainly on fruits, petals of flowers, nectar, insects and occasionally geckos.

At first this one had me stumped, but Geoff Higgins steered me in the right direction. It's not in Michael Morcombe's book because it's an introduced species, native to Asia. (Windsor)
The Red-vented Bulbul (Pycnonotus cafer) is a member of the bulbul family of passerines. It is resident breeder across the Indian Subcontinent, including Sri Lanka extending east to Burma and parts of Tibet. It has been introduced in many other parts of the world and has established itself in the wild on several Pacific islands including Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, and Hawaii. It has also established itself in parts of Dubai, the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand.
