#52 Weeks: the 2021 edition
#Week 36: Blur people in crowds
Not as sympathetic to the theme as I'd have liked, as crowds are a no-no where I am at present. I managed to snap this biker during an approved covid exercise outing.
At La Push beach, looking on to James Island with Little James Island on the far right. Also, if you look at the little blip dead center between the two middle seastacks, that is Gunsight Rock (a separate island). This weekend, I got a primitive cabin on this beach for really cheap; great deal considering your view and what's around in just a short drive.
Calmed the Pacific Ocean enough to almost be smooth. Single Image, 8 minute exposure with the B+W110 which actually should have been a little longer since I had to pull a lot of the foreground water from darkness. Doing these long exposures can be a challenge of your patience considering I like to move around and get different points of views all within the time frame of sunset. James Island is an island at the mouth of the Quillayute River near La Push, Washington, reportedly named either for Francis W. James, the first white man to climb the island in 1885, though the Origin of Washington Geographic Names attributes the naming to a Quileute chief named Jimmie Howeshatta. Until the second half of the 19th century, the island was the site of a fortified village. After this, it was used as a site for growing crops for residents of the mainland, as well as a burial site for tribal chiefs. At 160 feet (49 m) in height, the island was also used as a lookout for spotting whales. The island was formerly a sea stack, connected to the mainland, until the US Army Corps of Engineers rerouted the Quillayute River, separating it. No people outside of the Quileute tribe are allowed on the island.

A fairly recent trip to Clatto Woods in Dundee ended in a disappointment as we saw no other living thing, apart from Dogwalkers, which doesn't constitute as wildlife, even in Dundee. But a trip to the Caperdown Park offered these beaututies as substitutes.

A couple of helper units push a Norfolk Southern coal drag upgrade through Portage, PA past the aging Pennsylvania Railroad signals. The track on the right leads to a coal mine before rejoining the main line.

Sorry for the blur, but this is severely cropped after being shot from 100 ft. (30 m) away. Just had to try to capture her tentative steps as she waded deeper and deeper into the stream testing the limits of what her boots could do.
Haven't we all tried to push limits also?
