This is a collaboration with Etsy seller violetdelight. I sewed on her beautiful flowers to a frame purse made with champagne-colored dupioni silk and antique gold frame.

What's currently in my purse. ♥ & currently what I bring to work everyday.

I am missing my iPod touch though.. it was sadly left in my mother's car two days ago. Hopefully it will turn up soon as it's very hot out. I'm also missing my Blackberry... a must for any young professional, I guess.

B/c of very recent personal health concerns (re: life changing) I have now made it a must to carry a small photobook of everyone/thing that makes me smile.

(You can see the original here from 2006. Scary how things change.)

Have a great weekend!

A vintage clutch the same as one my grandmother used. Made with liberty fabrics as part of the Liberty Scrap Challenge. Blogged about here: listentothebirdssing.blogspot.co.uk/

A handbag can hide a lot of things.

available on request :)

these already have an owner!

This is a unique handmade handbag as it’s round with a front patchwork motif of 2 girls on a see-saw. Patchwork is machine sewn and bag is 50% hand sewn.

It has a back pocket with a patchwork motif of 2 cats and is also purposely sewn in sligthly slanting position. Inside is lined with plain cotton fabric and there’s a pocket as well with the same fabric as the front.

This bag is lined with a layer of fleece batting in between the 2 layers to add durability to the bag. The straps are also lined with fleece batting so it feel soft on your hands.

Measurements : (Approx)

Height : 26cm / 10"

Width : 26cm / 10"

Depth : 10cm / 4"

Strap : 36cm / 14"

It look casual and elegant at the same time. You can use it day or night. Not too big nor too small. Natural tone, suitable with any clothing.

Again, most of my products are 1 of 1, and this is no exception. One in the world!

I've been working on this on and off for so long, I thought it would never come to fruition. Finally, the prototype is finished and I'm ready to start knocking them out! Yee-Haw!

It's a stylized version of an Indian Wedding Bag. This one uses old silk men's ties for the body. (A shout out goes to my mom for scouring the thrift shops for old ties!)

The handles are quite a bit larger than a bracelet bangle and quite a bit thinner. I wanted them to easily slide over one's arm.

There's a heavy wire going all the way through each handle and they're double cured for strength. The seam, where the ends meet, is sewn together with many strands of heavy Nymo thread and covered with seed beads. These handles won't break. I've tried.

I've thrown them on a sidewalk 20 times ("Oh no, I dropped my purse!") and smacked them on a hard table at least 20 times. Not even a scratch...well, mabe a little scratch...and not these actual ones - my practice ones.

Field tested and approved.

The bag design is my own after looking at countless pictures of real ones.

HV Agnes Purse Restoration

It came with a blemish like spot on the right side - so I have to use my craft skills to fix it. I just added extra patent leather stripes for each side - and Voila! - a newly renovated bag is looking great!

I made my Castle Peeps purse this weekend! The pattern is the Emma Day Bag by Grand Revival Designs that I won along with the fabric from I have to say.... You can purchase the pattern by itself or as a kit over at her shop, Fresh Squeezed Fabrics!

Overall I am really happy with how it turned out! I was a little unsure about how the fabrics would work on a purse but I am SO glad I went with my gut!!

I talked more about the pattern here on my blog: In Color Order

One of the many purses I inherited from my great Aunt Alice. She was quite a woman and she loved to shop.
