"An architectural competition was held in 1962 for an office tower to be placed behind the Old Treasury Building and on an axis with Collins Street. Despite not conforming to the brief, Barry Patten of Yuncken Freeman won the competition with a design for two buildings; a low scale building directly behind the Old Treasury Building to house government ministers and the Premier, and a taller tower to the north of matching design. A third building, to house the State Chemical Laboratories, was constructed to the east of the tower at the same time in the late 1960s, and all were placed within an elevated plaza, with a basement containing the State Film Centre, an auditorium, car parking and mechanical services located below. Completed by 1970, the buildings were designed in a modern and severe style, with proportions, window openings and materials used reflecting those of surrounding buildings in the precinct. Innovative load bearing precast panelling was used in construction."

Houses and 'Amsterdammertje', reflected in a puddle...I've chosen for a more distorted reflection this time, well sort of, it was too windy for a clear shot :))
The 'Amsterdammertje' is the pole you see in the foreground, they're all over Amsterd@m and meant to make sure you don't drive or park your car where you should not. Here's some more info:
Snow and ice was melting outside, leaving lots of puddles which then would freeze again and making everything treacherously slippery.

Finally found this old RAW image! Been lookin' for long while! Done new photo work. Possible my best puddle reflection of this SeattleSeahawks' NFL football stadium
Best seen large by clicking on the photo to appreciate the movement at the crosswalk where pedestrians on the trail have right of way.
in the calm streets of portixol, a playful symmetry unfolds as a couple strolls past a rain puddle, unknowingly doubling themselves in its mirror-like surface. the stillness of the water captures every detail of their walk, down to the smallest ripple, as if opening a window to an alternate version of their journey. the black-and-white tones lend a timeless quality, turning an ordinary moment into a subtle narrative of symmetry, reflection, and fleeting connections.
The rain has finally come! Been very dry for 4 months! I shot this photo pre-dawn in downtown Seattle,
was playing around with some puddle shots while we were in Rome on our way to see the Trevi Fountain...a light rain just passed thru so i tried to use the puddles again in trying out some really low POVs, and this one came out OK i think, creating an illussion of two parallel worlds separated by this abyss...hope you guys enjoy your weekend...pls.
