sorting through older photos on local storage. post-summer-storm snap that has me missing the sunshine. lost my notes on what film simulation i was using here, but it looks like it was either the velvia-based “ektachrome” recipe or the astia-based one.

Fall'ish impression from the mean streets of the best city in the world, reflected in a puddle :)

the puddle was a doorway. a cut in the asphalt, opening into a world where buildings stood sharper than reality, where a figure stretched towards nothing. maybe it was a sign. maybe it meant something. or maybe it was just another wet day in madrid.

Here is my new photo work. It took few hours of editing. I shot many photos as I can at exactly this spot for a short while in downtown Seattle last January. With the power of Photoshop I was able to erase all people out from both sides of this street. Only thing I didn't erase out was the busy crowd afar on the end of this street where Pike Place Market is at.

I love the city after the rain ...

Lucca , Tuscany, Italy

was founded by the Etruscans (there are traces of a pre-existing Ligurian settlement) and became a Roman colony in 180 BC.

The rectangular grid of its historical centre preserves the Roman street plan, and the Piazza San Michele occupies the site of the ancient forum. Traces of the amphitheatre can still be seen in the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro.

Lucca was the site of a conference in 56 BC which reaffirmed the superiority of the Roman First Triumvirate.

standing on manhattan’s edge after a summer rain, this scene looks across the hudson river to the soaring skyline of jersey city. puddles reflect the city’s rhythm, merging the towering buildings with the quiet of battery park. this moment, suspended between the rush of the city and the serenity of reflection, captures the essence of new york’s endless energy, as seen from its most iconic vantage point.

West Palm Beach, Florida

We had heavy rains in late November which created some really big puddles. The reflections were wonderful.

just a quick low pov puddle reflection shot in front of the NBC Building looking south captured right after the greening of the Chicago River last March...straightened the shot and toned down the saturation for a more subdued feel to it, almost monochromatic...pls. View On Black

beneath the concrete canopy in front of el corte inglés in porto, two silhouettes drift like mirrored thoughts in opposite directions. the ground reflects their shadowplay, the overexposed sky swallows the background, and in the middle – a thick blade of silence. some frames don’t capture people; they divide them.

The melting snow around Brooklyn has created some large puddles which in turn create some awesome imagery.

After a stormy, rainy, gusty night, this morning a break in the rain saw me running outside with the umbrella. But then, a great gust of wind when I wasn't paying attention, saw the umbrella flying upwards and falling back down onto our flooded back path. It has rained almost continuously for several weeks here. Yikes!

This city is a dirty old Hoe...but I love her :)
