0530 has proven to be a primal time for waking up to watch these early morning EBs on the Windsor sub last year. This catch will be one of the ones to remember as I grow up, as leaving the house 2 hours before sunrise just to see a train may be crazy for most people, but the experience of the case was all worth it. Driving to Tilbury to confirm that the train was coming, seeing the sun lighting up the horizon as I see the headlight in the distance with telegraphs to complement the stars dwindling really was an experience as I stood there all alone, staring down the tracks. Now the next thing was where i could see the train in this beautiful sunlight! Well i decided to go back to ESS Glencoe, as i knew I had a lot of space for the sun to shine on the unit.

ENGLISH:
The theatre was built between 5 and 1 BCE, as has been proven by the dedication of the edifice to Gaius and Lucius Caesar, grandsons of Augustus, who had designated them as his successors.
In the 3rd century a market was built over the theatre, reusing its materials, with a semicircular open space which followed the plan of the orchestra. The market was perhaps abandoned after a fire caused by the Vandals in 425. A market quarter of the Byzantines was established on the site in the 6th century.
During the 13th century the Old Cathedral of the city was built over the upper cavea. In 1988 the first remains of the theatre were discovered during the construction of the Centro regional de artesanía. The archaeological excavations and the restorations were completed in 2003. In 2008 a museum, designed by Rafael Moneo, was opened.
The cavea was carved directly on the rocks in its central part, and tops a series of vaulted galleries. It had a capacity of some 6,000 spectators. It was divided horizontally in three parts (ima, media and summa cavea), in turn divided into radial sectors by the staircases (five in the upper part, seven in the medium and upper ones).
The public entered from two side passages (aditus), where the dedications have been found. The orchestra had a semicircular plan and housed three rows of wooden seats for the authorities (proedria). The stage (proscenium) had a length of 43.60 m. The scaenae frons had three semicircular exedras and decorated by two orders of columns, with bases and capitals in Luni's marble, and shaft in pink travertine of Mula. The stage edifice had a total height of 14.60 m. It have been found three round altars dedicated to the Capituline Triad and to the divinities of Apollo (Graces, Muses and Horae), as well as a statue of Apollo with lyre and one of Rhea Silvia.
Behind the stage building was a portico (porticus post scaenam) with a double porticoed gallery revolving around a central room housing a garden.

Oldest rock in Hong Kong - Wong Chuk Kok Tsui
The oldest stratum in Hong Kong, as proven by existing fossil evidence, is a bed of Devonian sedimentary rock. It is mainly outcropped on both sides of Tolo Channel. Sedimentary pyroclastic rocks found around Pak Sha Tau and Wong Chuk Kok Tsui on the northern shore are called Wong Chuk Kok Tsui Formation. They are primarily sandstone, pebbly sandstone and conglomerate. The best outcropped areas of this formation can be found around Wong Chuk Kok Tsui at the northern tip of the channel. Influenced by the folding and staggering action of geological movements, the beddings are almost vertical. It is a breathtaking sight.
The rich Devonian fossils found in Tolo Channel provide a strong basis for determining geological age and sequence stratigraphy. They also help us understand how Hong Kong's natural environment evolved during that time.
The oldest rocks of Hong Kong (Devonian) are distributed on both sides of Tolo Channel, i.e. Ma On Shan on the southern shore and the region south of Plover Cove Reservoir on the northern shore.
The latter are known as Wong Chuk Kok Tsui Formation. The faults of this formation, some 800 metres thick, have contacts with other strata both in the north and south. The entire Wong Chuk Kok Tsui Formation is made up of clastic sedimentary rocks like sandstone, siltstone and conglomerate. While rock property variations are insignificant from bottom to surface, ages of fossils within cover the entire Devonian sedimentary sequence, from its early stage to the late stage. By analysing the sedimentation and living organisms of the Devonian in depth, we can see that the region around Plover Cove Reservoir on the northern shore of Tolo Channel today was primarily foreshore, river delta or inshore sedimentary shallow sea during the Early and Middle Devonian. Bivalvia, archaeostraca and conchostracan fossils have thus been discovered in this area. Fossils from the Late Devonian are mainly terrestrial primitive ferns. This indicates the sedimentary environment changed at this stage. The sea receded and land was exposed.

The Christmas Cards are special "Classic Paddington" Christmas Cards of Peggy Fortnum illustrations. They come as a box set of twenty made up of four designs, published by Museums and Galleries in the United Kingdom.
This beautiful nursery rhyme tea set was made in England by the Shell China Company in the 1930s. It features cups, saucers and plates as well as a teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl. Each piece is gilt edged and decorated and feature different nursery rhymes including: "Ding Dong Dell Pussy’s in the Well", "The Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe", "Old King Cole", "Pat a Cake Pat a Cake Baker’s Man", "Little Tommy Tittlemouse", "See Saw Margery Daw" and &This Little Pig Went to Market" amongst others. The set I acquired from England, and it is a sister set to a 1920s Shell China Company nursery rhyme tea set and a 1920s faerie tale tea set. There are also doll (bear) sized tea spoons which are sterling silver salt and mustard spoons.
My Paddington Bear came to live with me in London when I was two years old (many, many years ago). He was hand made by my Great Aunt and he has a chocolate coloured felt hat, the brim of which had to be pinned up by a safety pin to stop it getting in his eyes. The collar of his mackintosh is made of the same felt. He wears wellington boots made from the same red leather used to make the toggles on his mackintosh.
He has travelled with me across the world and he and I have had many adventures together over the years. He is a very precious member of my small family.
Scout was a gift to Paddy from my friend. He is a Fair Trade Bear hand knitted in Africa. His name comes from the shop my friend found him in: Scout House. He tells me that life was very different where he came from, and Paddy is helping introduce him to many new experiences. Scout catches on quickly, and has proven to be a cheeky, but very lovable member of our closely knit family.
Rosie is Scout\'s cousin, because like Scout, she is a free trade knitted bear from Africa. She was made in Kenya by one of the Kenana Knitters, Martha Wanjira. She is made from home spun and dyed wool. She was a gift to me from two very dear friends, includng the one who gave Scout to Paddy.
Bogart has travelled all the way from Georgia, via Alabama as a gift to me from a friend. He has lovely Southern manners and seems to be a fun and gentle soul with an inquisitive nature.
Jago was a gift from a dear friend in England. He is made of English mohair with suede paw pads and glass eyes. He is a gentle bear, kind and patient who carries an air of calm about him. He is already fitting in with everyone else very nicely.
Daisy Maud is Jago\'s little sister and was made by the same friend in England who made him. She is made of German mohair with floral fabric cotton paw pads that match her pretty sunhat, and glass eyes. A sweet and loving little girl bear, she is happy to be reunited with her big brother, Jago, and enjoys being spoiled by her Daddy.
Lovingly handmade in Merrythought’s historic British factory in Ironbridge, Shropshire, Little Ladybird’s creation has been inspired by the English country garden. Crafted from the finest black and white short mohair and featuring a pure wool felt ladybird ‘shell’ adorned with embroidered spots, she a pair of ‘antennae’ to finish her off. Little Ladybird is number 3 of a limited edition of 300 issued worldwide.
This Baltimore Oriole has proven to be super elusive the past few days. While we do seen him, it seems he has unique abilities to detect our presence at the window, especially when holding a camera.
He totally does not appreciate paparazzi, and flies away at the slightest hint of motion at the window! As such, I fear any decent shots of him are going to be harder and harder to get while he's still here. But I don't think that's going to stop us from trying! LOL!
I sneaked this after he flew to the upper branches of this tree after spotting me. Had to zoom in to see if that was him or a Cardinal? Little stinker!

While they've proven far more longevous than almost all of their Class 1 compatriots, CSX's tired fleet of CW40-8/9s are finally nearing the end of their service lives, with plans being made to finally retire the active roster in 2026. These motors have been in and out of storage as part of CSX's surge fleet since 2020, and have now seemingly found homes at various terminals around the system.
