U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart will conducted a force protection exercise in conjunction with Host Nation emergency services on Patch Barracks, on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017. 100,000 National Nurses United members will bargain new contracts in 2025
Thousands of registered nurse members of National Nurses United (NNU) hold actions, including marches, protests, and rallies, on Thursday, Jan. 16 to demand the hospital industry ensure safe staffing levels and patient safeguards amidst the rapid introduction of artificial intelligence technologies.
More than 100,000 NNU members are entering contract negotiations with their employers, including multibillion-dollar health care organizations such as UCHealth and Dignity Health. In negotiations, nurses plan to confront industry decisions that undermine patients’ health and well-being and fail to address chronic RN recruitment and retention issues – in favor of increasing profits.
“Today, nurses across the country are taking to the streets to let our communities know that in 2025, as in all years past, we are committed to providing the highest quality of care for every patient,” said Nancy Hagans, RN and a president of NNU. “We will fight fearlessly against the profit-driven hospital industry, which seeks to undermine nursing care through unconscionable understaffing and reckless automation.”

Tamara, a domestic worker was stripped of her clothes and dignity by four male students from Angola who claimed she stole 140 thousand dollars. After the torture she endured for hours the students are still harassing her. Our affiliate in South Africa, SADSAWU will help her.

We stopped in for a quick beer; I don't remember much about the place. I think it was the one with a small front bar, with access to the loo gained by exiting the pub through an open-air corridor, which I thought unusual.
Also unusual is the design of the building in the background.
Hanceville Elementary School received a visit from Hanceville Fire and Rescue (HFR) Friday as part of the annual National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) ‘Every Bedroom Should Have A Smoke Alarm’ program.
Groups of students took turns getting fire prevention training from Hanceville Fire and Rescue Chief Rodger Green and two of his top firefighters, Brad Jones and Jacob Hudson. Their objective was to entertain the students of HES while at the same time educating them on the basics of fire prevention in their homes and exactly what to do in the event they would ever personally be involved in a fire.
