I am participating in November and here is my progress documented using the Movember iPhone App.
Taken from their website:
"The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember.
Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days."

NFL Houston Texans players show their support for Blue Cure!
Big thank you to Matt Schaub, Chris Myers, T.J. Yates, J.J Watt, Darryl Sharpton, Johnathan Jones, Brooks Reed, Danieal Manning, Antonio Smith, Owen Daniels, Ben Tate, Arian Foster...these pro athletes are helping Blue Cure share the anticancer message of prevention and healthy lifestyles, helping us reach a younger generation.
I figured I take a self pic of myself and my pathetic, embarrassing moustache. The things we do for charitys right? If anyone doesn't know, November is now Movember, a charity to help raise money/awareness of testicular and prostate cancer. All men have to do is grow a moustache for the month.
I will say that I'm cheating a little bit because I kept the goatee whereas the official rules say you have to be clean shaven on Nov 1st. My excuse whoever is it takes forever for me to grow my facial hair (as evidenced by the 'stache) and I'm getting married on Dec 11th. The fiance would be rather upset if I cut it off now.
It's to the point that I really want to cut the 'stache but I have to keep it one through the end of the month. I'll tell you, it was fun to have in Vegas last weekend for the bachelor party (sarcasm).
If anyone out there would like to donate to this great cause, you can hit up the link to go to my team's page and throw a couple bux there.

Dr. Juan Reyna's wife Joni announced that she and her husband are establishing a charitable foundation whose mission is to promote prostate cancer awareness and provide patient support. The foundation will be called “Los Padres” or “The Fathers” in recognition of all of the men affected by prostate cancer. Joni Reyna explained that both she and her husband’s fathers had cancer when they died. The couple views their work with the foundation as a tribute to their dads.

Diagnosed today 19th August 2015. My Prostate cancer is described as 'advanced prostate cancer', meaning (I think) that my prostate is riddled and the cancer is showing on the left hand side of my pelvis and a tiny sliver on a lymph node.
Because I have Huntington's disease, the surgeons have chosen not to operate on me.
Still somewhat losing my mind, as I'm mostly staying at home, where I continue to convalesce from the Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN). Been keeping myself busy with Kindle Paradise, cleaning, cooking, listening to music/audiobooks, making smoothies, working, tackling crosswords, word finds, cryptograms, watching YouTube, too much YouTube, way too much BritBox.
Had been saving my hard-earned pennies for a large flat screen TV for my living room, though on Black Friday I instead ran with a projector & saved a ton of $$. Holy macaroni. It's absolutely amazing. So much better than a black rectangle. This way when not in use I can simply rehang wall art. And paired, literally, with my speaker system, it's like a movie theatre. And the projected image takes up almost the entire wall. Now I really don't want to leave my apartment, even if I could

Radiotherapy treats cancer with high-energy rays that damage or destroy cancer cells. The treatment is planned careful to ensure that the rays are targeted precisely onto the cancer, and do as little harm as possible to healthy tissues nearby.

An ultrasound probe is inserted into the rectum to check the prostate. The probe bounces sound waves off body tissues to make echoes that form a sonogram (computer picture) of the prostate.

The picture above shows roughly where my bone cancer has spread to thus far. I asked my doctor at ARI if she could send me my result pictures by e-mail: not allowed. I asked if I could take a screen capture of her computer screen: not allowed. So me and my wife have marked as well as both of us can remember what we were shown yesterday (8th March 2017) on to a 'stock' skeleton picture. It appears that the hormone therapy that I was on, failed to do its job. I now have approx. six months left. My bone cancer is in the whole left side of my pelvis, spotted through my ribs, breast bone and at the base of my neck.
Because I have the added complication of Huntington's disease it was decided that I would not be operated on. I made the decision not to have chemotherapy, but I will be getting a few blasts of radiotherapy. I declined the offer of another CT scan, because I know that time on that machine is precious and I won't live any longer by having another one. I'd rather let someone else get the use of it.

Here Dr. McGuire and a patient are sitting in a very blank room. I looked around for a better area. The hallways were a possibility, but there were exit signs everywhere and the ends of the hallways weren't that attractive. So I decided to just stick with the blank white walls of the exam room. I was happy the patient was wearing a blue shirt as it added color to the shots.
