Found him making his way slowly across our front room, no idea how he ended up there. Anyway we stuck him on a letter for effect and put him in a flower bed after, he didn't seem to mind.
His visit prompted a feverish Wiki session, fascinating creatures!

The page that started it all. Did this one last year and it was the first that was a journal page as I do them today. Before this it was mostly journaling with a watercolor sketch thrown in.
My son was very sweet and told me that at least I did a good job on the bathing suits. heh.
My mood from that day was something like.. a little bit of everything. I was sleepy, happy, shy, mad, incredible ... impatient.

The specific prompt for this week was jigsaw puzzle pieces. The background is copies of dictionary definitions of different family members. That is covered with blue acrylic and a light wash of gesso. Stamped images behind each figure are by Tim Holtz and Dyan Reaveley. The puzzle pieces are covered with patterned paper. The figures are Tim Holtz paper dolls. Alpha stamps by Recollections.

Today's photo prompt was city. We live in a really pretty city with a beautiful cathedral and a fantastic museum! I love it!

I am participating in Folded Word's writing month event, called "24/7," during August. Participants spend the first 24 days of the month writing short works, then spend the final week in revisions. The second part of this entry gives more details.
