So when i told my wife i needed to take a food shot for my 365 she thought it was a perfect opportunity to bake me one of her favorite dishes. Sausage and pepperoni calzone.

This shot was taken on our stove top with the over head hood light. Initially i was gonna semi snoot an off camera speedlite but the batteries died (duh!!)

As part of my Year 2 project under the title of 'Methods and Approaches' I produced a series of images illustrating the walk I did where I lived as a child. Capturing certain aspects of the walk such as the wall outside my house, I shot this project in the perspective of a child both in medium format and digital. This image used Medium Format iso400

#70 of 365 Daily Drawings

Inspiration: Apparently a compulsion to draw textures

Result: a lot of textures

Materials: Pentel 0.3 HB, Micron 005 & 02 pens, in a Moleskine plain journal

Location: At home

Note: ...I have no idea what possessed me today...other than it was raining and I was cold and I apparently suffer from texture OCD. If you disagree click on the image to see it full sized and weep for my cramped hand. Naturally once I had started inking I had the though that ...OH I should have skipped the jacket and just drawn a patterned sweater instead! That way madness surely lies and the sad thing is it still sounds like a good idea...

Nanny bought Zoey a stylin' pair of Skecher's that light up on the top & sides. That's one of the great things about Nanny's - they'll get their granddaughter a $50 pair of Rock & Roll shoes just because.

Zoey has been stomping around in these 24/7 since getting home.

June 6, 2018 - The Gravity Project in Franklinton located at 500 West Broad Street. Architect: NBBJ.

Franklinton is the fourth of this years Columbus Art Walks & Landmarks Talks. In conjunction with Columbus Landmarks Foundation and Columbus Public Health with support from the Greater Columbus Arts Council.

A vintage car up on blocks, halfway down a very long back garden - is it an Austin 7? Whatever the model, this car has looked pretty much the same whenever I've walked past the bottom of its garden over the past ten years.

The interesting thing is how the car got into the garden in the first place. The houses are a continuous terrace without side gates and the gardens give onto a narrow path running beside the canal. Perhaps the little car was wheeled along that path, which would have been easier in the past before the neighbouring land was built up with more houses.

If restoration is ever completed, however will it be put back on the road?

Get-Set, for the ultimate HD racing fever of #ProjectCars2!!!

I was rearranging books on the shelf this morning to make room for recently purchased novels when I found this book called "The Simplicity Reader" by Elaine St James. Item no. 97 in Chapter 8: Hard-Core Simplicity reads " Get rid of your phone".

What???

I'd rather forget to wear my undies to work than forgetting to bring the phone with me. The "what-ifs" would send me on a roller-coaster ride the whole day, until it's in my hand again.

Come to think of it, maybe, maybe I need to get rid of my phone to actually simplify my already simplified life.

***at least the author does not suggest me to get rid of my camera***

Back to the Future Day.

A De Lorean outside the Roxy Cinema in Miramar. They closed the doors of the car just before I got my camera out.

I watched Back to the Future 1 and 2 here with Rik and Dave and Lucy and got home after midnight - not good timing as I have to get the 9am ferry to Picton tomorrow morning.

Tonight we went to Applebee's and decided to try their new dessert. It's a chocolate chip cookie, ice cream, whipped cream, and fudge sauce. It actually wasn't very good. The waiter tried to tell us that, but we needed to find out for ourselves.

This is the view from my bedroom window. When I woke up this morning the yellow of the flowers really stood out in the morning light. It was far more dramatic than I have been able to capture in this photograph.

I walked to work this morning and it was nice to actually get a picture of the day so early on. The bandstand on the seafront with a bit of jiggerypokery from a project in Practical Photoshop.
