This photography was taken at Ponsonby road, Auckland, New Zealand. I saw this man waiting for the bus, he was looking back in forth as if a looking for someone to come around the corner. When I was near passing him the light light up his silhouette and his head suck that I had to press the shutter.

Okay... I know, not much of a picture. It's bringing down the quality of the project. But it's psychologically accurate. I made a nasty mess of things with a dear friend of mine on Friday that I haven't yet cleaned up.
The double-tickle-trunks are the two suitcases full of Halloween costume bits and bobs that I have been collecting over the past few years... Carolyn, whose initial donation started all this madness, asked me to sort through it all while we video-chatted on Skype, so that I could bring things to Vancouver with me.
It was getting late and I had not done a photo yet, or got my exercise in, so I thought I would do both at the same time. These are the great little hand weights Ellie got me for Christmas. I use them every day. The ball not so often, but it is fun to sit on.
This afternoon I was given the key to my new house - or so the real estate agent told me. But it was The Wrong Key. Two calls to them, they couldn't find the right key, they would not call a locksmith but said I could send them the invoice if I called them. A call to my solicitor at ten to five on a Friday afternoon (thank goodness it wasn't ten past five) and they called the vendor's solicitor who agreed to accept the bill, my solicitor called The Lock Doctor and someone was there within twenty minutes to drill out the old locks and replace them. It took about an hour and a half and it was completely dark before he had finished. I couldn't put the outside light on to light the job for him as the switch is inside and we couldn't get inside.
Meanwhile, the estate agent had called me back demanding I return 'the wrong key' as it was the key to another property (well obviously!) and he needed. I told him he would have to come and get it and could have it when I had access to my property. He turned up while The Lock Doctor was there. Having walked past the van with the logo on, and past my door with the man working on the lock, he told me "we called The Lock Doctor but they said someone was already here". Yeah, right, of course you did (no, I did not believe him). He tried to make conversation but I just gave him the key and walked away.
To make it worse, I had arrived via a lift with a workman who was coming to quote to install a heat pump. Fortunately, he was able to see and measure enough through the back windows to be able to quote.

This was the day Christie got discharged from the hospital! Not that it made much of a difference; it was mostly a paperwork exchange. Christie was being discharged from Mother/Baby, and Lorien was checked into Pediatrics.
Even so, Christie enjoyed the few hours of freedom that switch offered, and we took the opportunity to drive home and eat some lunch. It was great!
This is from the parking deck... Just thought it looked neat. I liked the big, bold colors and shapes.

Day #108 - End of the hall Still at the hospital. We have been here over a week now, and it's starting to get a little old. We wouldn't have been able to do it if not for such great friends and family, helping us all the time with meals and all sorts of other help. We even have killer blow-up mattress that we're borrowing. God blesses us all the time, and it's important to look at it that way. This is the view at the end of our hall on the Pediatric wing.

Each pages is sized to print on A4-paper. If you want smaller calendars/lists, you can print 2 pages per sheet.
I recommend printing onto cardstock for a nice finish, my personal go-to paper is Canon Matte Photo paper (160g).

I AM BROKEN.
Haven't worked on this project for a while. This morning my brother told me the street "looks like it's been struck by lightning," so I went to check it out. Thought it would be perfect for today's mood... broken.

Alternative Spring Break, 2009. ReachOut trip.
I forced myself out for a walk this lunchtime. I went along the waterfront to the lock lock bridge hoping to get the rest of the clues for the geocache. Unfortunately, that side of the bridge was fenced off (for strengthening, I think).
On the way I spotted an oystercatcher getting a feed of some shellfish on the rocks. I only had my phone camera, not a proper camera so I couldn't get a decent picture.

I've made some art projects with my kids school classes, and always enjoy the excitement of working together with kids on unique creative projects.
I worked with a 2nd Grade class at St. Joseph School in Seattle to create this project.
Everyone brought in a few extra little toys they had lying around, and we constructed a retro inspired three dimensional rocket covered in colorful toys. Many toys also had moving parts and made noises, so the Toy Rocket became a huge toy made of recycled smaller toys. The classes always have fun when I come in to lead them through the process of a creative project.

Found this tiny little treasure that was just so delicate.
Took me so long to get it on camera without shake and in focus that it caused others around me to notice. I looked round to find about twenty people trying to capture this beauty too. Embarassed, I made an exit and returned later, when they had all gone....:)
