A rainbow seen on the floor as I walked up the steps from the station. Caused by the sun hitting the edge of the sliding door at the top of the steps. I'm taking it as a sign of good things to come. (Yes, I increased the colour saturation).

These works are an exploration of the built space that surrounds us in daily life but often goes unnoticed. Each of the structures was built for a specific purpose or function. The silhouettes serve to show that although they are purpose-built they have an underlying aesthetic beauty that is often overlooked. In addition the silhouettes serve to record a specific point in each of the buildings ongoing process of entropy.

The Canis latrans ochropus project is well underway. So far the results have not been what I had hoped but the camera traps are working. We placed one a dead doe. This location yielded Turkey Vultures, Common Raccoons. and this hungry Gray Fox. The recent storms here were a big event because I am getting fresh tracks. There will be two bait stations this weekend so I am hoping we bring in some Coyotes...wish us luck
Project One Love was in Denver October 8th at the Ogden Theatre and we got a few pictures in front of the Freedom for Love bus!! We had a BLAST!! I hope you like the pictures!! Megan N

SOUTH PADRE, Texas (June 28, 2013) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District oversees work on a $14.5 million jetty repair project at the entrance to the Brownsville Ship Channel with scheduled completion in 2014. This yearlong project will consist of repairing the base of both the north and south jetties to include replacing stones that were moved and damaged as a result of Hurricane Ike. Upon completion, the newly-repaired jetties will continue to prevent sediment from entering the ship channel, allowing millions of tons of cargo, including critical commodities that contribute to the economic strength of the nation, to be shipped to various ports.
