Last night it hit me: my projector doubles as an incredible lighting tool. All I had to do was bump up the ISO and the shutter speed and these are all perfect SOOC.
The color comes from the projector light which appears white to the human eye but looks like this when captured at 1/3200 of a second.

This was an old projector in my high school classroom so I drew it with charcoal. Its about 3 or 4 feet wide.
On display outside the Ritz Theater in Ritzville, Washington. The 35mm arc lamp projector was the original equipment for the theater.
An old movie projector. Part of the "Auctions Long Ago" set, stuff that I sold (or tried to sell) on ebay a long time ago. This one did not sell, but it sure is a great looking old piece.
