Last night it hit me: my projector doubles as an incredible lighting tool. All I had to do was bump up the ISO and the shutter speed and these are all perfect SOOC.
The color comes from the projector light which appears white to the human eye but looks like this when captured at 1/3200 of a second.
Ara's class, they finished their 3D projects, watching it on projector screen.
Super dim lit in this room at the time.

The ceiling mounted Mitsubishi HC5000B video projector. Display is via HDMI 1.3a (HC5000 has a HDMI 1.3 connection...later a HC6000B with HDMI 1.3a will be added)

We have been watching all of our movies on this projector since getting it a few months ago. It is a really nice experience. On the shelf above the projector is one of our Sonos speakers. We have another one that's smaller in the living room.
What a pain - i had to cut away the sheet rock with a utility knife, then drill the corners of the plywood and finally use a sabre saw to finish the hole. The worst part was that the boxes i bought were designed to fit into an opening and then secure with wings that spin out from the back side when you turn a screw.
