This comic strip was on the first page of my print portfolio from 1991 -2005, I found it again going through old analog film photography stuff.

I landed a tough shoot this afternoon.
Some of the Sixth Form were performing some ballet, which was great. The choreography was ace. The lighting design...less so.
Why, oh why do people try to create atmosphere by turning the lights down to candlelight.
Streaky, streaky, streaky dancers. Bah.
Avert your eyes because this is the best photo I got all day: The back of a mini fridge getting ready to be loaded into the car.
I can grow a lot of vegetables, but zucchini has eluded me every year. This plant seems to be doing ok so far.

Max (he really hates the camera!).
I'm so sorry I'm behind with uploading and commenting. I hope to catch up soon.
Do you know what this is? You're right! It's our first daffodil in the yard this year. That means spring is almost here. I didn't have the heart to break it to this flower that the weather forecast shows 1 to 3 inches (whichever comes first) of snow forecast for our area on Sunday. Doh!
Occasional rain wasn't enough to spoil our second day in Busan, but the grey skies really dulled our photos dramatically. Hence I waited until golden hour to shoot this view of the beachfront.
It was about 9:30 tonight and I realized I needed to take a photo for my 366 project and I hadn't really thought anything out so I had my camera in hand for whatever came up for the next hour or so. Took some pics of Lily and of my dog doing the everday things. Lily found a National Geographic "Wonders of the World" magazine and she was oohing while looking at the phenomenal photography. She especially liked the pics of the Northern Lights, something I'd love to see someday. I just love to see curiosity in her eyes, she's like a sponge right now with so many new things to see and say and do and she loves looking at pictures. I shot this w/o using my flash because I didn't want to see a flash reflection coming from the magazine pages, just used the ambient light in the kitchen, so it was a bit of a challenge to make this shot look ok since I had such a slow shutter speed. I think it turned out pretty decent.

Paul McCartney was born today in Liverpool, England.
I enjoyed putting this dress on and reminisced back to my dating days with my husband. He teases me about being a hippie; I still am at heart. :)
Had to cover the mural in preparation for the floor installation today

Claire and I were out at Macricostas Preserve (Connecticut) on Saturday. I had to look that name up - we always call it "The Pinnacle." Anyway, I took this at the start of the hike and thought it looked cool. The dark blue blob is a bit of an error on my part (caused by the circular polarizer I was using along with the wide angle) but I still like it. It also reminds me a little of the Windows XP "Bliss" background.

I know that you care
You got your finger on the pulse
You got your eyes everywhere
And it hurts all the time when you don't return my calls
And you haven't got the time to remember how it was
It's so cold in this house
I took this one while waiting for the pizza to be ready. Liked the light coming from the oven, so I took this shot. It didn't turn out the way I had imagined it to but it still seems to have some emotion it it... maybe just for me.
