Today I rode in the car, and took lame photos out the window. I was too preoccupied with stressing over certain things to do motivate myself for anything creative.
An hour at the plot today to clear the greenhouse. The remains of last years tomatoes, chillis and some onions that I'd forgotten about were added to the compost heaps. Just need to clean the glass and replace a broken pane and we're good to go for 2025.
The compost bins are all overflowing and the plan for this year is to grow courgettes on them to make the most of the space available.

The Huw Richards book I’d ordered arrived today. Can’t resist more gardening books. My intention over the next few years is to become a bit more self-sufficient with *some* of our food.

There's a big flock of jackdaws that gather every evening at dusk and fly around making quite a noise. Some people grumble about them. I quite like a jackdaw, but the flocks are truly vast.

It is so hot during the day that only in the evening I get to enjoy the back yard. And only for a little bit until mosquitoes come:)
Saw these cherry plums at the store & had to try them. They are delicious!

I have not altered the colour of this image at all, this is what it looks like and is one of the reasons I was attracted to the shot. Don't know the back story behind the grafitti, but it's a favourite family saying, so it struck a chord with me.
