I'm a little behind on our weekly chore chart. That's a menu down at the bottom - intended to help us plan ahead, but so far just an incomplete chronicle of what we ate during the week.

Today's Project 365 is of the the spot I have picked out to take fireworks shots from tomorrow night for Australia Day.

Today was the day that I saw my physiotherapist for the last time and got him to tape up Eddie the Ankle Egg so I can run on him properly - he wasn't in great shape after the previous day's jaunt round London.

Project365 Day 194 In the city center, Kizilay

2013 - 271/365 - Hinter Gittern

4/365: This has been my view the last few days, reading in front of the computer. Also missed two days. I'll cheat and make it up this weekend though.

Domo says, 'Nothing like sitting on the front porch enjoying some Ice Cream after a hot day.'

This is the site of the Battle of Linlithgow Bridge. In 1526 10,000 men led by the Earl of Lennox faced a force of 2,500 led by James Hamilton, the 1st Earl of Arran. People fought, were mutilated and died.

Yet now, the site of the battle is covered by an upmarket housing estate and a sports centre.

I guess this struck a chord with me when I watch the news. A battlefield can become a peaceful place. But I suspect a peaceful place can become a battlefield much too easily.
