My company signed a really big contract at the end of last week so the bosses took us out for a nice lunch at Kings Fish House. I had the "Hazelnut crusted Chilean Salmon" and some sushi. Very good!
[2011-03-03] Slightly east of Ebbw Vale station. To the eagle-eyed, yes, there is a trend here - I do catch the train from Ebbw Vale in the morning. Next up - the ticket machine.
I took the time to straighten my hair yesterday and I wanted to show how long its gotten again. I tweaked it with the seventies filter + some quick corner burning because well, the image quality wasn't the very best. Partly because I was shooting with my "slow" lens (Tamron 18mm-200mm) inside with no flash so I had the ISO cranked up a bit and partly because I'm shooting my reflection in my bathroom mirror and its... not the cleanest. There were some funny spots that I corrected poorly and the processing really goes a long way towards disguising that.

This picture is intense but only for the sake of my excitement. Yesterday's running was AWESOME and did not look like the pic! Lol I said it before, but now it's even stronger; the Chi Running concept is all sinking in and my running feels more harmonious, active and light. #chirunning by #dannydreyer is a great book on efficient and good running form. Check it out!!

For FGR WordaWeek - Sophisticated.
I know it's not creative, and I don't even really think it's sophisticated, but my neck hurt from the accident and we are being audited at work so I was tired and sore and didn't put much effort into it. But I am reading one of my favorite books, so yay.
This is Kitkat. I think I posted a picture of him before, but since we are at my parent's house tonight, he is my picture. He's been my buddy ever since we got here. A few seconds after this picture was taken, we curled up on the kitchen floor for a second, but as soon as Tommy tried to take the picture, he left. He was done. This was like the 20th picture I took of him in a 5 minute span. He wasn't happy. He's actually crawling up my butt now and curling up on my back [I'm laying on my stomach on our air mattress].
183/365 Tuesday 2 July 2013 - Mum bought me this plant on a recent trip to some gardens - forget where. She knows I love purple and it is adding a welcome splash of colour in the sitting room. I leave the care of it to her as she's good with these.
How about we not discuss the ethics of a chinese knockoff of a Markins/RRS/Arca Swiss, etc. tripod ballhead, it was like 60$ shipped instead of 300$ or so... Working great so far. Worlds better than the 3 way manfrotto head I was using (at least in ease of use for setting up and locking down for a shot)
I was told "Don't help me, I want to do it all by myself." I think he gets his love of puzzles from my Dad ♥
I guess I am going to have to upgrade to a pro account I have almost reached my limit for photos and I really want to continue my 365 on here.
The time has come to head back to Sydney. Sunrise on the drive back. I'm not sure exactly where I am here but I'm a few hours out of Melbourne. It was an early start but I don't mind a good road trip. This one was even solo which is good for thinking, and playing very loud music. Two Door Cinema Club was a winner on this one.
Mar 3 - One of the Bald Eagles was fishing from the Medford side of the Lower Mystic Lake. Lighting conditions were awful, but I rather liked this cropped image from one of my shots, so it's today's pic...I see them so rarely (compared to other birds) that to capture them at all feels like a success.
Had to do a double take as I walked past a closed Starbucks, thinking there was someone standing in the darkness inside. Turns out it's just a *freakish* shop display... ... Posted via email from Musings + Project 365
