erm. i really look quite weirddddd. never mind, the picture isn't the point. but my question is the point behind the picture.
What makes you a slut?
:O
i heard on the news this morning that a police officer in canada told a girl that she wouldn't have gotten raped if she didn't dress like a slut. so this raised uproar blah blah blah. but it made me wonder, what makes a girl a slut? im guilty of seeing girls in short skirts showing their cleavage etc and thinking of them negatively, but should i? should what i/you wear make me/you a slut? i think it sucks kinda, i think someone should wear what they like and not be afraid of whats going to happen to them or if someone is gonna call them names. after all its whats on the inside that counts? don't judge a book by its cover etc. so i guess i'm saying, just because a girl is showing her flesh, or is wearing bright red lipstick, doesn't mean she's a slut. does it?
Besides, if men can walk around topless, why can't girls walk around in a similar fashion?
i always thought if you were a slut it's because you slept with a lot of people. but now i don't know.
also, i think it doesn't matter what you wear, if you're gonna get raped, you're gonna get raped. regardless whether you're wearing a polo neck jumper and two pairs of trousers or a crop top and shorts.
I just wanna know what you think, what is your definition of a slut?
p.s. i guess my picture is me trying to be 'slutty'?
p.p.s. i'm not trying to start any arguments, and this isn't a feminism thing, i just wanna know your opinion. what makes a girl or a boy or both a slut?
So... sorry to anybody who has been wondering where my Project365 has disappeared to over the past couple of weeks. I've been on holiday, and I'm not a great one for telling the world I'm about to leave the house empty for a fortnight! However, I'll be trying to catch up soon... prepare for some cheesy holiday snaps!
This is Marie and Jenni at Glasgow Airport, waiting for us to be allowed to board our slightly-delayed Jet2 flight to Nice. We were delayed an hour or so; not nearly so bad as the flight that was twelve hours late a few gates further along the corridor. That one had Police keeping order!
Once we got on to the flight, everything went smoothly. We got to Nice airport (a fun place; the runway extends out into the sea, and you can't see any land until the very last moment. You sit there, wondering if you're really on a sea plane!), then it became apparent that I had lost my mobile phone.
Some sweet nothings then ensued between husband and wife...
We got a note of the airport's lost property office phone number, then went to get our car. By now we were really late, and by the time we got to the camp site we were going to the only person we could find was the security guard. Luckily, he was able to raise a Eurocamp rep, and even though our car had to stay outside the camp site, we were able to get to our van and collapse for the night. Thank goodness that Eurocamp provided a bottle of wine on arrival :-)
Today's Project 365 photo is another "Then & Now" to commemorate the 157th Anniversary of the Eureka Rebellion and the 38th Anniversary of when this original photo was taken.
The original one was taken by a photographer from The Courier newspaper and shows my Grandfather, Lex Rizzoli when he was the Mayor of Ballarat, with Prime Minister Gough Whitlam and the always stylish Al Grassby.
After being stored in a drawer for many years, the flag was hung above the stairs of the gallery. It later moved into a climate and light controlled environment and last year was sent to South Australia for restoration. It arrived back in Ballarat a couple of days ago and is available for public viewing again as of today.
I bought some acrylic boards to use as photo backgrounds and they were tightly wrapped and taped into not one, not two, but three different layers of cardboard. Plus they were each layered with the seam on the opposite side so I had to flip the heavy boards multiple times to get to them. It was quite the adventure just to get them unwrapped.

RAW shot straight out of the camera (apart from the slight vignette added in photoshop). It took everything I am to stop myself from turning this into sepia ;-)
I had a new set of books for Christmas. I must go around with my eyes shut though (either that, or my glasses need a good clean!), because I have never heard of Edward Cullen or the books about him. Anyway.... I started reading the first in the series, and I can't put it down! I'm just over halfway through and have barely done anything else today but read!
So, having done this most of today, I thought it apt to take a photograph of what has taken up my time.
This is shot on my bedside table and yes... that's a photograph of me in the background, pregnant on my youngest - taken 20months ago now - how time has flown! Also seated behind the book, although you can see him in his entirety, is Tommy - he is one of my prized Deans Bears, bought for me by my husband some years ago.
Quite possibly the only development "gap" on Vancouver's main drag, Granville Street, that will probably remain a "gap" because of it's limited width.

Today's Project 365 pic was rather easy to get. I just stoop in the carpark at work and shot these guys working on the cellular equipment that is mounted on the old chimney stack next door.
While not as high as @jemban got in the cage at the new Ballarat Health Services site ( www.thecourier.com.au/multimedia/27929/ballarat-from-the-... ), it is still higher than I would like to go while hanging off a crane.
100 days of Project 365 to go!
Found a Dominican restaurant where I live. Wait, what? Yup who would have thought. And it’s great. And the owners are great as well.

I took my oldest son out to play in the snow this morning while my 20mth old was in the warm with his dad (was just too cold and windy for him this morning). My 5yr old was supposed to be building a snowman with me..... but he was busy playing in the snow to help - then he went indoors - leaving me with an unfinished project! So... naturally, I had to finish! There was my son, indoors, mouthing instructions to me through the window!!!
So, here is my snowman - no help at all from my little man!
Day 71: I was messing around with Auto Focus Bracketing and was having trouble getting it to work correctly. The pictures all seemed to have the same focus no matter what i did.
If any one has any experience in this please share.
So i kind of faked it by taking to pictures then manually merging them in Photoshop.

The local public library put on a Family Literacy Day event featuring children's illustrator/author Peggy Collins. She read a couple of stories then invited children to do some of their own illustrating.
Stocholm's Old City is a place where I would like to be more often. There are so many hidden narrow streets and cosy little shops selling old possible stuff! I was there on a photoshoot and on my way back found an antik boutique having this adorable composition outside their entrance door. Real Old City romance :)
