Nov 16 Kringle was the alpha male in our old neighbourhood but since we've moved I think he's lost his standing. This cat stands outside patiently, looking cool until Kringle notices him. Kringle hisses and growls but it doesn't seem to affect this cat.

For CFC again. I should note that this is definitely not an accurate representation of a niqab in any way. The goal of the project was to begin to understand the purpose of the niqab by transforming my friend, Kavita. As I begin to read about them I'm definitely very interested and intrigued by why some women continue to wear them when they may not necessarily have to, how they believe them to be empowering. So I hope that anyone who sees this will understand that I'm simply very curious and trying to create an outlet for that.

Ahh, I could write an essay I'm sure, but I'll leave it at that. There was a lot of post-processing on this in terms of darkening the background and creating a more dramatic contrast.

Today's offering is dedicated to Ina, who has been so wonderful and generous with her feedback and her friendship. The thing I adore most about Ina is her uncanny ability to use light and tones so subtly to evoke beauty and mystery, if you didn't get a chance to see her work, it is evocative and celebrates womanhood in a way that I truly admire. When I visit her page, I am always filled with pride, to see such a talented fellow Filipina.

When I logged onto flickr today, I got messages from a few of my great flickr friends, they asked me where Katharina (Ina / Sinecura) has gone... She left me a lovely message last night, but when I tried to view her account - it had been deleted.

Ina, if you happen to pass by, I hope you're okay and we miss you already. We hope you come back soon.

Jul 11 Today was busy! I took time out to take an evening walk. The tunnel tagged on the right has always captured my imagination. Where does it go? What is in it?! The building above it is a church. There are stories of underground tunnels in and around Evesham where treasure from the Abbey was hidden during the dissolution of Henry VIII. I've seen two deep wells, one at Marylins and the other at the former Green Dragon/Blue Maze. Are these part of the underground network?!

A few years ago I went to a lecture given by Mick Aston from Time Team. The question of hidden treasure in Evesham was asked. He immediately laughed and said every town in England has the same rumour and discounted it. Still, the imagination can run wild!

Went to a Reggae club with friends tonight to welcome back Kath from her European sojourn and Mary's birthday (same as Alex's), it was crazy!!! The club was packed, the music blared and reverberated through the floor. The music was so potent, that the cops decided to do their rounds...

Welcome to Jamrock! :o)

Happy weekend flickr...

I rescued this little chap from a skip (I do love a bit of skip diving). I reckon there's every chance I can nurse this one back to health

Lots of colorful flowers blooming in my garden right now.
