American Kestrel - okay already, I will leave your nest alone - at least until next time.
Today I had an assignement to take photos of the Holy Friday event in my town. I took photos of the procession with Jesus. This is one of them.
I think the issue start at home. As you may notice, parents give their kids’ phone from an early age that did not overpass two years. Can you believe it! Much research proves that they could have negative effects in the future like « Concentration difficulty, Increased mental laziness, Difficult to make friends in real life,… »
ELECTRONIC SOUL.
Phones are now a day more sophisticated and developed that help every person to reach anyone anywhere at any moment, but the question remains: why the medium who gathers us disperses us? Are smartphones killing the planet faster than anyone expected? Is that logical?!
The world is progressing very fast in all fields, involving technology. The phone was developing so rapidly over the last few years. It became more closely embedded in our day-to-day lives than ever before, and I could describe the propagation of smartphones as plague, Speedy, and quiet. So I wanted to intervene in that by giving a voice to a subject that has had no voice.
When we’re looking at these images, we’re looking at how Chinese citizens are addicted to their phones, therefore I want from my project to enlighten this current issue, also the dangers that could generate from this issue like depression, loneliness, ...
If you told me back in 2000 what these devices would be capable of in around 20 years, I’d call you crazy, and I wouldn’t be alone. Back then, no one could have predicted the impact phones would have on our lives. It would have sounded like science fiction. This got me thinking: What will smartphones of the future change in our habitude as humans?

Tiffany Singh's award-winning art project Fly Me Up to Where You Are New Zealand.
Artist Tiffany Singh has been working with schoolchildren from Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch since 2012, helping them turn their hopes and dreams into vibrant flags inspired by Tibetan “prayer flags”. The flags are now all being flown together for the first time at Frank Kitts Park as part of the New Zealand Festival 2016.

UPDATED!
Today's quick projects:
A felt coat for Francie. I knew felt would be easy to work with but this was ridiculously quick and easy to make. Half an hour tops and so effortless. I am not crazy about the felt I chose though. It is wool felt and is far too soft and a bit... Hairy!! I will try using acrylic felt next time.
And I finished off a dress for Francie too! I started this one just before returning to work. It only needed a few finishing touches. I am not overly fond of this dress, I don't like the fit or the fabric. But it was all in the name of practice. I am still no better at gathering :S

One of our lockdown projects has been this little cabinet for Kate's small pokemon plushies. We started with this rustic nautical themed cabinet from Hobby Lobby. It even had rope for knobs, lol. It was transformed after many coats of paint.
Humans build the machines that take over the world and the machines build the human and the cycle is restarted.
A home for a small family, limited space to work with. I haven't done a skybox project in a while but took on the challenge.

Today we travel to EPCOT for a view of Spaceship Earth. When shooting this over-sized "golf ball", lol...don't always feel that you have to be right in front of it or up really close. Some of my most favorite shots of Spaceship Earth have come from the other side of the park. You should not be afraid to get creative and try something different. How creative can "you" get? Have a magical day!
Project Dark Star:
After the failed Martian Invasion of 1896, British intelligence salvaged the abandoned Martian technology to experiment and study it's secrets. Reverse Engineering the tripods, handling machines and the deadly heat ray.
But the Martian flying machine was of great interest to them. And a few years after the invasion the Royal science Division created project Dark Star: An atmospheric reconnaissance aircraft. A fast, agile flying machine that boasted state of the art communications, incredible speeds and state of the art weaponry...
I really wanted to make an interesting vehicle with those old neon green canopy pieces. And I wanted to keep it steampunk. So the idea of a retro gothic Victorian flying machine rattled around in my brain.
Asymmetry was another factor, drawing heavy inspiration from asymmetrical Star Wars vehicles.
