Decided to do the earth and the moon. I’ve always wondered what the earth actually looks like in space. I used Color Aid Paper, construction paper, and colored pencil.

Jae and I went to Porirua for the Christmas Carols. But they had inexplicably been postponed til tomorrow. There was some live music but nothing special, not many people around and no atmosphere. We decided to have a coffee but there are no cafes here. We ended up with a coffee in KFC and then a look at the one shop window that looked Christmassy,

Well I guess that was it. Thursday and Friday our movers packed up all our belongings in this container and today we arrived after a long flight back in Germany where my three girls will stay with our grandparents until this blue box in unloaded in Sweden...
Thank you to all our friends we made in the last 4 years - you made us feel at home and leave memories far more valuable than any container or photo album could ever capture. We loved your southern hospitality and will export it to all the places we will move to.
Pollen seems to be available throughout the year here, but during our short winter season there is a dearth in the nectar flow. For the last several years I've been working on a project to provide a nectar substitute with the least amount of work for the beekeeper. This is one of the prototypes. A pet gravity water station modified to to feed the bees while preventing them from drowning. With this version the bees can transport two and a half gallons of sugar water back to their hives in about two hours.

Today we made the nativity scene in our home. It's beautiful how we enjoy these days. It'll more beautiful if one day we can share these moments, this illusion, with a son or a dauther... We'll see...

18/365 Not a lot of time today because I was teaching, so here's another doggie photo! Sorry. He's the only one who'll pose for me lately! ;D
Dying Easter eggs. The first packet didn't have the dye tablets included by mistake (huh? How does that happen?) so we ended up with a second box with many colors. Ian created the year's zombie egg (mostly every color so it becomes nasty) which he called a dinosaur egg. The fun is in the process :). I brought out the stepladder thining an above perspective would be awesome, but I have a lot to learn there, too. They look off-kilter. My ususal perspective was just fne.
I came across some photos of a project from last year. I was asked to put together the parts for a model of Poole Bus Station for someone to build. (Not really my sort of thing at all)
I duly designed, printed and dispatched it. To keep the costs reasonable I only actually built a trial of a small part of it - these are the photos, which several months on don't look too bad at all!
The whole model comes out at over four feet long (!!!), and takes an amazing amount of card, but if anyone fancies a crazy challenge then let me know.
i decorated the cover first, rtaher than last as had been the original plan. since i had a title bestowed upon me anyway, it seemed like a good idea. Saving the world usually has something to do with trees, or summaan or nuffaan...yeh, but no, but yeh...
On the first day of class, students were given the assignment to collect materials found at home, in nature, etc. and adhesives to bring to class the following day. In a two hour period they had to assemble 3 spheres between 3"-6" varying in materials and construction methods. Its was a simple exercise dealing with issues of construction, time, parameters and material exploration. The following critique was a great introduction to the interests and character of each student.
In early 2002, in a justified act of revenge, I stole my friend Andrea Zink's bra. You know, that fleshy, beige-coloured bra all girls own for under white or sheer tops.
I began a campaign to photograph as many friends, acquaintances and even family in the bra. Then I sent the photos to people I knew around the globe with as a postcard template which they printed out and mailed back to Andrea, convincing her that her bra was on a walkabout around the world—torturing her from each locale.
Andrea hated it. One day, figuring I must've been the cause of all this, she marched into my office and threw a particular postcard (#002 to be precise) at my head and yelled "Make it stop!"
I did not.
