This photo was taken of an outdoor market in my town. It was filled with vendors selling both antiques and fresh produce and meats. There are many outdoor markets set up similar to this throughout both Florence and other Italian cities. This past week in Florence, there was also one dedicated exclusively to chocolate products. Outdoor markets like this are a great place to purchase authentic and fresh Italian products, as well interact with people in the community. When visiting these markets, there are also plenty of chances to practice the language, which is a great opportunity for students like me.
