The 15th GLOBE Annual Meeting was held in Bethesda, Maryland, on July 17 – 22, 2011.
The theme of this year's meeting was "Expanding International Perspectives About Climate." More than 180 teachers, scientists and GLOBE community members from 46 countries (including representatives from 26 U.S. and the District of Columbia) took part in the welcoming events, informative presentations, networking sessions, poster presentations and field studies over the course of the 5-day event.

Kids from Phelps Luck Elementary School in Columbia, MD and the Matnas Community Arts Center in Sapir, Israel participated in a year long literacy and cultural arts program. They wrote stories, illustrated them, and performed through an ancient Japanese storytelling technique called Kamishibai. On June 10, 2009 the two groups of kids shared and performed their stories over a live web chat.

From 29 April to 2 May, the Livorno humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP) loaded and shipped seven containers of school equipment to the Lodz Primary School number 56, Poland. The Livorno HAP warehouse was able to provide suitable desks, bookcases, lockers and other school equipment that will help improve the overall school conditions and learning experience for the students who range in age from 6 to 17.
