Washington Capitals ALLCAPS rally on the National Mall to celebrate winning the Stanley Cup, Washington, DC
The Induction program of the 8th batch of B.Arch students admitted to Nehru college of Architecture was held on 26th October, 2022 at the Shashthra hall in JCET, with “ Lighting the lamp” as ceremonial gesture by the dignitaries on the dais & students. Prof.Thirumeni Madhavan welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief guest & Guest of Honour to the audience. Esteemed Chairman & Managing trustee Adv.Dr.P.Krishnadas presided over the function & delivered the Presidential Address. He emphasized the special nature of the architectural profession and highlighted the enormous career options that awaited the budding architect. The Chief guest, Ar.Anoop K Nair, Chairman of Indian institute of Architects, Palakkad center & founder of “Art on Architecture”delivered the chief guest address and thanked the students for their participation in “ Mamangam” the cultural fest hosted by them for the entire IIA, Kerala. The guest of honor, Ar.Krishnakumar, Secretary, IIA, Palakkad center & founder of Aryarch architects welcomed the freshmen students and explained about the hard work, creativity and continuous learning that goes into the making of a successful architect. Dr.Radakrishnan, Advisor, NGI felicitated the gathering by focusing on the unique nature of Architecture as a profession. Dr. Gunasekaran, Principal, JCET, offered felicitations and congratulated the organizers for arranging a wonderful function.
Then the Chief guests Ar.Anoop k Nair & Ar. Krishna Kumar gave the certificates & mementos to the students who participated as volunteers for the cultural fest of IIA. Subsequently Chairman sir distributed the mementos to those students who participated in the 100 feet long painting done on occasion of the 75th independence day, that depicted the important achievements of our nation over eight decades. Ar. Keshav Gangadhar, Professor, NCA offered vote of thanks and the program concluded with the national anthem.

Each year, the Tippie College of Business Beta Alpha Psi chapter offers our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, helping low and moderate income taxpayers in the Johnson County area prepare and file their taxes.
Models of various US and Soviet space rockets: Saturn V, Saturn I, Saturn IB, and Soyuz. All these models are 1/96 scale.
This exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum is titled "Apollo: When We Went to the Moon", but it includes the historical background of the space program (starting with the Cold War) and also contains items from the Soviet space program.
Kids from Phelps Luck Elementary School in Columbia, MD and the Matnas Community Arts Center in Sapir, Israel participated in a year long literacy and cultural arts program. They wrote stories, illustrated them, and performed through an ancient Japanese storytelling technique called Kamishibai. On June 10, 2009 the two groups of kids shared and performed their stories over a live web chat.

The LA County Library’s annual Lunch at the Library program returns, providing free, nutritious meals to kids and teens 18 and under during the summer months.
From June 12 – August 4, fifteen select libraries will be offering lunch on a first come, first served basis from 12 – 1 pm, check the library website for locations. There are no restrictions on family income. Free meals must be eaten at the library. (Mayra Vasquez/ Los Angeles County)
