Roo, enero 30, 2012.- A través del programa social de Orientación Familiar, la coordinadora Guadalupe Delgado Pedroza y el equipo de Asesores Sociales entregaron reconocimientos a 70 alumnos de 5to y 6to grado de la escuela primaria Diego Rivera, ubicada en la Reg. 237, quienes participaron junto a sus padres en el Curso-Taller para Papá y Mamá.
El objetivo de estas pláticas es orientar a los croquistas y a sus hijos sobre la importancia de mantener una buena comu ...nicación en el hogar para evitar la desunión entre sus integrantes, por lo que Guadalupe Delgado exhortó a los presentes a practicar el diálogo y a poner en práctica todos los conocimientos adquiridos durante las 26 horas que duró el curso-taller.
Asimismo, comentó que Orientación Familiar es uno de las 16 acciones sociales que impulsa el secretario general de la CROC, Isaías González Cuevas, y que a su vez promueve el dirigente sindical en el municipio de Benito Juárez, Mario Machuca Sánchez.
Por su parte, el director Juan Manuel Chávez agradeció la colaboración de la CROC e hizo una invitación a los diez Asesores Sociales a continuar impartiendo pláticas que procuren el bienestar de las familias.

For the second consecutive year, The Pointe residents have corresponded with several elementary classes as part of our Pen Pal Program. At the end of the school year, a group of residents visit the school and meet the children they have been sending letters to. The children were just as excited as the residents to finally meet. One class read stories to the residents and another gave a presentation on jaguars. The program is one of our most successful and popular among our residents and they are already looking forward to school starting in the fall. Not sure the kids feel the same about that though!

UI Health Care STEM Education partnered with UI Orientation Services in hosting an interactive STEM experience for siblings of future freshman at University of Iowa. Students had the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at the newest MRI Research Facility and learn about how it works and what it is used for.
University of Iowa Health Care is committed partners with formal and informal educators and community organizations across the state to advance STEM literacy to inspire the next generation of health care professionals and build a foundation for children to understanding their own health. In FY2015, more than 16,000 school age children were engaged in hands on learning provided by 260 faculty, staff and students.
