I made four layer programs, with a black backing, wrapped over the top. I secured them with different colored ribbons - which coordinated with our wedding colors (black, hot pink and lime green). The inspiration was the program from my friend Juliana's wedding.
During a Native American history-themed sleepover at the National Archives in Washington, DC, 101 kids and their grown-ups spent the night enjoying history-related activities, learning from special guests actor Martin Sensmeier, Jim Thorpe historians Bob Wheeler and Flo Ridlon, and Native American storyteller Perry Ground. After sleeping over night in the Rotunda, participants enjoyed a pancake breakfast made by the Archivist of the United States, David S. Ferriero, on October 14, 2018.
Okay, our kid's summer program (similar to VBS...) "So you think you got skillz?"
Just a rough first idea... the range of kids targeted will be 5 - 12.

This program is a project of the Hawaii Department of Education, the University of Hawaii Uehiro Academy for Philosophy and Ethics in Education, and the Hawaii State Legislature.
The intern program is a unique educational opportunity that allows selected public high school students to engage in hands-on learning experiences in the legislative process. The experience is designed to give each student an understanding of how laws are made and the importance of participating in democracy. The program aims to provide students with the opportunity to work with a host legislator and their staff while learning how to conduct research, track and analyze bills, and write bill briefs. Students will also experience how to engage in collaborative, inquiry based, and community-building discussions to explore public policy questions with some of the top civic educators in the state.
