Victory Programs' Founder & President Emeritus, Jonathan Scott, retired after 43 years of serving some of the most vulnerable members of the Greater Boston community. During his four decades with Victory Programs, Jonathan oversaw the launch of dozens of innovative programs to address the needs of people in recovery from substance use disorder, people living with HIV/AIDS, and individuals and families facing homelessness. On May 30, hundreds of agency friends, personal friends of Jonathan, current and former staff, and agency alumni gathered to celebrate Jonathan's many successes and wish him well as he starts the next chapter of his life. Pagi tadi saya menyertai program Jom Ceria di Dataran Putrajaya. Pada program itu, saya menyertai ribuan rakyat dengan berjalan kaki sejauh satu kilometer bagi mempromosi amalan gaya hidup sihat di negara ini.
Program tersebut diadakan bertujuan untuk memupuk semangat perpaduan rakyat berbilang bangsa di negara ini dengan mengamalkan aktiviti sihat pada hujung minggu.
Semasa berucap pada majlis itu, saya mengingatkan semua supaya sentiasa menjaga kesihatan untuk mengelakkan kita daripada mendapat pelbagai penyakit. Saya diberitahu, rakyat Malaysia hari ini ramai yang mendapat penyakit Hypertension serta beberapa penyakit lain dan ini berkemungkinan besar kerana tidak mengamalkan gaya hidup sihat. Untuk itu, amalkanlah gaya hidup sihat agar kita semua mampu menjadi masyarakat yang produktif.

Programa Mais Médicos, Estado do Pará, Ilha do Marajó cidade de Breves, Brasil.
O principal objetivo do programa “Mais Médicos” é reduzir as desigualdades de saúde ampliando o “Programa Saúde da Família” reduzindo as disparidades no acesso a serviços de saúde de qualidade que continuam atingindo grande parte da população brasileira. O Programa é congruente com o plano Nacional de Desenvolvimento do Brasil 2022 o que vai acelerar os avanços nas realizações das metas dos Objetivos de Desenvolvimento do Milênio da Nações Unidas.
Até o momento o Programa Mais Médicos conta com 14,168 médicos, do qual 11,429 são administrados pela OPAS. Os médicos que participam do programa trabalham em 3,785 municípios e 34 comunidades indígenas. O programa Mais Médicos atende a uma população de mais de 48.6 milhões de brasileiros e conta com uma cobertura de 100% de todos os municípios que se aplicaram para o programa.

December 5, 2019 at Ceramics Program, Office for the Arts at Harvard: In this workshop, Randy demonstrated his methods for making pottery within traditional concepts, with a focus on the exchange of ideas involved in making pots related to function and why we make the objects we choose to make.
Randy Johnston has had an illustrious 45-year career in ceramics. He is recognized internationally as an artist who has pursued functional expression and brought a fresh aesthetic vision to contemporary form, and for his many contributions to the development of wood kiln technology in the United States. He is professor and department chair emeritus at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, where he taught ceramics and drawing. His work has been exhibited internationally and he is the recipient of numerous awards including the Bush Artist Fellowship granted by the Bush Foundation in Minnesota and two Visual Artist Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, and a Distinguished teaching award in American Arts from the James Renwick Society of the Smithsonian. Johnston received an MFA from Southern Illinois University and a BFA in Studio Arts from the University of Minnesota where he studied with Warren MacKenzie. He also studied in Japan at the pottery of Shimaoka Tatsuzo, who was a student of Shoji Hamada. Johnston has presented hundreds of lectures and guest artist presentations worldwide. He has work in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert in London, the Minneapolis Art Institute, the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Los Angeles County Museum, the Nelson Aitkins Museum, and numerous international public and private collections.
