O TST conclui, nesta segunda-feira (18), as atividades da primeira turma do Programa Adolescente Aprendiz. Na cerimônia que marcou a conclusão, o ministro Barros Levenhagen destacou que estimular o jovem aprendiz a concluir seu processo de educação, viabilizando a inserção profissional adequada no mercado de trabalho "é o meio mais eficaz de investir no futuro do adolescente, o que implica benefício direto não apenas para ele, mas também para a família e a sociedade como um todo, fomentando, ao final, o próprio desenvolvimento do país”.

El Presidente de la República, Ollanta Humala Tasso, participó esta mañana en la presentación del programa “Maquinarias para el Desarrollo” del Ministerio de Construcción, Vivienda y Saneamiento.
A través de esta iniciativa se ha adquirido un pool de maquinaria (excavadoras sobre orugas, tractores y cargadores frontales) y equipos para realizar trabajos de prevención y atención de emergencias en materia de descolmatación y encausamiento de cuencas, así como en saneamiento, evitando así situaciones que pongan en peligro a la población, sus viviendas y la infraestructura de saneamiento.
El Jefe de Estado estará acompañado en esta actividad por el Ministro de Vivienda, Construcción y Saneamiento, René Cornejo.

The South Dakota National Guard hosted dignitaries from the Republic of Suriname for a week in June. Dignitaries were shown various military training associated with the annual Golden Coyote training exercise, which brought 2,100 National Guard Soldiers and Airmen from across the U.S. to the Black Hills for the two-week training event. They were also shown ongoing missions by South Dakota's Soldiers and Airmen conducting flood relief related missions in the state's capitol, Pierre. Summer Programs during the week of June 2 included Camp Wildcat, Boys Basketball, Tennis, Summer Ceramics and Sculpture, Art in our World and Middle School Leadership.
During a Native American history-themed sleepover at the National Archives in Washington, DC, 101 kids and their grown-ups spent the night enjoying history-related activities, learning from special guests actor Martin Sensmeier, Jim Thorpe historians Bob Wheeler and Flo Ridlon, and Native American storyteller Perry Ground. After sleeping over night in the Rotunda, participants enjoyed a pancake breakfast made by the Archivist of the United States, David S. Ferriero, on October 14, 2018.
