The North Charleston Police Department implemented Project S.T.A.N.D (Stop and Take A New Direction) aimed at not just arresting low level narcotics dealers with little or no prior criminal history but to go a step further and help those involved in the activity change their lives for the better. This is program aimed at reducing recidivism through working on all aspects of the criminals’ lives.

8-year-old Armanie, a 3rd grader at Glen Iris Elementary School, holds up a shape she made as part of "Don’t Get Puzzled with Engineer BHM," a new Birmingham Public Library STEM program that debuted September 30 at the Titusville Branch Library. Participating students from grades 3 through 12 will learn basic skills related to engineering and 3D printing through creating 3D objects/puzzles, and learn basic concepts found in geometry and design thinking, such as spatial reasoning, dimensions, turning 2D planes to 3D, and prototyping designs.

Engineer BHM is sponsored by Infosys Foundation USA’s 2021 Infy Maker Award. BPL received $10,000 grant in June to teach young people skills in electrical engineering, coding and other STEM areas.

For anyone out there chasing the magic donkey, it seems the Scout program has some gremlins today and calculates an Explore cameo for every single one of your images. This is what my stream would look like if I was one of those flickr celebrity types.

Shen Te has received a gift from the gods, who believe she might be the last good person left in Sezchuan. She will try and use her gift to do good for her fellow man, but that is harder said than done is a city filled with greed and people struggling to survive. A fairy tale of modern capitalism, told with an international cast from across the University, original blues music, puppets, and Bertolt Brecht's classic text that asks: Are you a good person? What would you do if you were Shen Te?

Maya Angelou Student Mothers Program - 2022

MFF 2022 Program Announcement at Tower Theater on February 01, 2022

Governor Charlie Baker and Mayor Martin J. Walsh launched a new college affordability pilot program for Boston high school graduates, which will enable low-income students to complete a four-year degree without having to pay tuition and mandatory fees.

The new pilot program, known as The Boston Bridge, will be open to all 2017 high school graduates who live in the City of Boston, including students from Boston Public School, charters and parochial schools.

The City of Boston and the Commonwealth together will cover students’ tuition and fees, after taking into account federal Pell grants, from the time a student enters community college to when they graduate from a four-year public college or university.

The new tuition-free college program builds on the City of Boston’s Tuition Free Community College initiative, and the state’s Commonwealth Commitment, both launched in the spring of 2016. The City’s Tuition Free Community College program currently provides free tuition to low-income BPS graduates who attend Bunker Hill Community College, Mass Bay Community College or Roxbury Community College. The Commonwealth Commitment offers deeply discounted tuition and fees to Massachusetts residents who earn a Bachelors’ degree at any public four-year institution after first earning an Associates’ degree at any one of the state’s community colleges, while maintaining a 3.0 grade point average and graduating within four-and-a-half years. Through this partnership, students from Boston who qualify to participate in the Commonwealth Commitment will not have to pay tuition or mandatory fees to earn their Bachelor’s degrees.

For the first time, the Government of British Columbia is ensuring there will be dedicated, significant annual funding for B.C.'s Invasive Mussel Defence Program, to help protect the province’s waterways from the environmental, economic and social impacts these invasive species can have.

Kilo the mussel-sniffing dog has inspected over 900 vessels over the past year, protecting BC's coast from invasive zebra and quagga mussels. These species pose a serious threat to our vital local fisheries, coastal biomes, and tourism sector. Kilo will be joined by K9 Major in 2019 - the BC Conservation Officer Service's second canine officer.

Found a one familiar face from last year. The polish guy opened the conversation like "Hey, you're from Finland -- we'll go to have a couple of beers tonight, right?"

This is my rom programming station. I use this to repair games and phoenix CPS2 boards. The old computer on the right is the actual programming computer. I acquired it for $20 from someone in need and put it to good use.
