Giving some love to my first DSLR, the Nikon D5000, and doing some macro photography using the kit lens in reverse and photographing the mode dial of my dad's Canon AE-1. Simply because since I have upgraded to the Nikon D7200 earlier in the year, I have not been using my D5000 as much.

Buttons and program designed for a wedding in North Carolina
The couple requested tattoo designs and silhouettes in their wedding colors – orange, red and hot pink.
The programs match the invitations I designed for them.
Was gifted this camera and decided to try my hand at 35mm photography. Loving this camera so far!
Coming in at #13 on my list of photos to hit 1k views. I printed a 5x7 of this one because I liked it so much, but it looks like I'll be ordering an 8x12 of it now :) Thanks everyone.
Adobe's new Creative Cloud subscription model has led to confusion and anger among loyal Photoshop users. Now Adobe's Photography Program offers a more reasonable deal, but only for some.

WAT PHA LUANG TA BUA — better known among travelers as “Tiger Temple” — is probably the most controversial temple in Southeast Asia.
The Tiger Temple in the western province of Kanchanaburi - about 80 km from Bangkok - began life in 1999 when the first female cub was brought to Wat Pa Luangta Bua Yannasampanno, a Buddhist sanctuary, and was cared for by the monks.
Later, several tiger cubs were given to the temple.
As of January 2016, the number of tigers living at the temple exceeded 150
While walking in the temple grounds, visitors will run into countless peacocks, bulls and wild boar. The highlight, however, is the chance to get up close and personal with a tiger.
While other animals walk freely in the temple grounds, the tigers are on leashes and chained when they are public areas.
Widely known as the Tiger Temple, the monastry became famous worldwide in 2004 after western media outlets such as Animal Planet began airing stories about the Buddhist monks who take care of abandoned and orphaned tigers.
Since then, it has evolved into a much larger wildlife haven and is now a major tourist attraction in Thailand.
It is one of the few places in the world that allows visitors to touch tigers.
For a basic entrance fee - or 'donation' - of 600 baht , visitors get a tour of the site and the chance to enter the sanctuary's Tiger Canyon, a quarry with a rocky pool at one end containing a dozen or so sleeping tigers chained to the ground.
During a small half-hour window, tourists have the option of being escorted around the quarry with two volunteers so they can pet each tiger while they sleep. One volunteer keeps an eye on the tiger while the other takes charge of tourist's camera and snaps away as they touch the big cats.
Many online forums discussing the temple contain fierce debate of the ethical issues surrounding such a tourist attraction.
This picture was taken hours before the temple was closed to tourists and visitors.

hahaha!
almost funny. but its a shipping product. its actually kind of shameful.
what is this bug?
the previous menu (there's a button on the back that cycles thru a few adjustment modes) was "contrast". guess they forgot to init the buffer with spaces before re-using it. LOL.
contrast + no_line_clearing + color = colorast.
I know what this bug is about and so I can laugh; but non-programmers will wonder what the HELL a colorast is!
"What's a colorast, Walter?" "Shut up, Donnie!"

Statesmen’s Forum featuring NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg as he considers the challenges facing the Transatlantic Alliance and the ways in which NATO must adapt. What are the challenges posed by a more assertive Russia? Are its aggressive actions in Ukraine part of a larger pattern? With state and non-state actors employing hybrid and asymmetrical warfare tactics on multiple fronts, how is NATO adapting its strategy and posture in order to effectively combat these often unclear and ambiguous threats? As the Alliance seeks to deliver on its mandate of preserving the freedom and security of all its members, Secretary General Stoltenberg will consider these questions and offer his insights on the future of NATO in this changing security environment.

The Fall 2010 Student Hackathon brought in hundreds of students from 30 universities to NYU's Courant Institute for 24 hours of creative hacking on New York City startups' APIs.
Selected startups presented their technologies at the beginning of the event, and students formed groups to brainstorm and begin coding on their ideas. Many students worked into the night, foregoing sleep to fulfill their visions.
On Sunday afternoon students presented their projects to an audience including a judging panel, which selected the final winners.
hackNY hosts hackathons one each semester, as well as a Summer Fellows Program, which pairs quantitative and computational students with startups which can demonstrate a strong mentoring environment, a problem for a student to work on, a person to mentor them, and a place for them to work. Startups selected to host a student are expected to compensate student Fellows. Students enjoy free housing together and a pedagogical lecture series to introduce them to the ins and outs of joining and founding a startup.

A wonderful, erroneous, splashy, pseudo-psychedelic Surveyor program promotional image, ca. 1961/62. This is really striking…you rarely see period color photographs of anything to do with the Surveyor lander. The effort obviously put forth for this makes me think it’s of Hughes Aircraft Company origin, manufacturer of the spacecraft.
Unfortunately, the photograph of the moon is reversed, which is understood from an astrophotography standpoint. But I’d think you’d want it to be ‘naked eye’ representative for something like this. Therefore, upon further consideration, this is probably a NASA-produced image, with the graphics team (or whatever equivalent) responsible, being totally oblivious to the moon’s appearance.
Being an early optimistic design, the model depicted has multiple instruments on it that never materialized. Most obvious in the photo is the conspicuous yellow tubular neutron activator, and next to it, the lengthy vertical structure/framework of the lunar drill. The partially extended scissor-arm mounted “slowly driven geophysical probe” can be seen above the footpad to the right.

The Sokol SK-1 suit was worn by Yuri Gagarin during the first flight to orbit the Earth, on April 12, 1961. It was fully pressurized and had connectors for a life support system. (I'm pretty sure this is a Sokol SK-1 suit, not the actual suit Gagarin wore!)
I was bemused by the lace-up boots. I can only assume they have airtight lining.
This exhibit at the Henry Ford Museum is titled "Apollo: When We Went to the Moon", but it includes the historical background of the space program (starting with the Cold War) and also contains items from the Soviet space program.
From our wedding in Santa Barbara in 2006. On the back we printed our first correspondence: in May 2003 I connected with Jennifer on Friendster because we shared a mutual friend and lived 2 miles apart in the San Fernando Valley.
