Steve Stich, deputy manager of NASA’s Commercial Crew Program, monitors the countdown during a dress rehearsal in preparation for the launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying the company's Crew Dragon spacecraft on NASA’s SpaceX Demo-2 mission with NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley onboard, Saturday, May 23, 2020, in firing room four of the Launch Control Center at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. NASA’s SpaceX Demo-2 mission is the first launch with astronauts of the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft and Falcon 9 rocket to the International Space Station as part of the agency’s Commercial Crew Program. The test flight serves as an end-to-end demonstration of SpaceX’s crew transportation system. Behnken and Hurley are scheduled to launch at 4:33 p.m. EDT on Wednesday, May 27, from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center. A new era of human spaceflight is set to begin as American astronauts once again launch on an American rocket from American soil to low-Earth orbit for the first time since the conclusion of the Space Shuttle Program in 2011. Giving some love to my first DSLR, the Nikon D5000, and doing some macro photography using the kit lens in reverse and photographing the mode dial of my dad's Canon AE-1. Simply because since I have upgraded to the Nikon D7200 earlier in the year, I have not been using my D5000 as much.

One day I started filling a spreadsheet with all the languages I've used over the years (and with percentages of focus on each one) with the intention of creating a chart.

It got bigger than I expected. I guess never counted how many platforms I had actually used.

The original chart (created in LibreOffice) didn't look exactly good, so I decided to write custom code to plot the chart the exact way I wanted it to look like. This is the result. It was created with some messy JS code that rendered the data to a canvas object. I tweaked the colors a little bit and added the titles in Photoshop.

I think it's an interesting visualization of the platforms I've used. There are many different solutions to the problem, I think, but so far I'm pretty happy with this result.

Please view in the original size.

The source code can be found here. It was never meant to be released nor too flexible so it's a little bit too linear and hard-coded, but what the hell.

Just some random binary code!

This was banging around in my head for a few days, but seemed TOO simple. Now, I kinda like it ! Maybe that's me....simple !

Was gifted this camera and decided to try my hand at 35mm photography. Loving this camera so far!

Coming in at #13 on my list of photos to hit 1k views. I printed a 5x7 of this one because I liked it so much, but it looks like I'll be ordering an 8x12 of it now :) Thanks everyone.

The Revera and Reel Youth Age is More Film Project is an intergenerational partnership between Revera, a Canadian leader in seniors' accommodation, care and services, and Reel Youth, a charitable project that empowers youth to create engaging films about important social issues. The partnership was launched in 2013.

With 80 films to date, the program celebrates older Canadians through story-telling and film, with the added benefit of fostering new intergenerational relationships. The project aims to shed light on ageism, challenge the assumptions of aging and recognize the valuable contributions of older adults to society.

so a post in the lab inspired me to post the final for the wonders series.

it's fun to see the entire evolution of a project, so i thought i'd post the final product.

this also shows what elements we use in our weekly program/bulletin. in case you were all wondering.

this is not a "standard" layout for our program, because we have no "standard". it's a different layout (shape fold, everything) for each series.

thanks for everyone's help.
