Salid a recibirlo'" (Mateo 25:6). "Mis ovejas oyen mi voz […]" (Juan 10:27).

This one is a bit of processing magic. I finally found a new program that can create what I see in my mind when I look at a photo. I loved this scene, but the colors weren't as vibrant as I wanted them to be, nor was the sky interesting enough. After about an hour, voila. The fort in St. Augustine has a more lovely backdrop of clouds, and more vibrant tones in the water and sand, which makes this photo really pop. I enjoyed working on this one!

I won't be on here much this week. Thursday starts extended hours at my store for the Labor Day sale, and hopefully I will be very busy. We're also about to be hit by what should be a tropical storm in another day, packing winds of up to 65 mph and soaking rains. Worse case scenario, no work Thursday! Might have no power, AC or internet, either! Please pray for us down here in Florida, especially those on the west coast, where they are expected to get up to 15" of rain! Welcome to sunny Florida!

Last week I was in San Diego to help train some of the folks at Best Buy. One of the more extensive retail training programs I have ever seen, Best Buy takes key people out of their store for a week... flies them to someplace like San Diego. There they spend time with professional photographers and manufacturer's reps learning the gear and techniques needed to talk with you.

One of the stops was "Action".

When CMF series 15 and 16 came out with the cyborg figs, I thought combining them together with other parts would make a good Tron program.

The wolf in the zoo is moving about in a narrow cage while doing a

rough breath all day long. He seems to have gotten irritated very much.

With a 1700 crew from Concordia on board, a pair of UTAH MK50-3's cross Buffalo Creek on the KYLE Concordia Sub with KYLE train KYLLISA. They're just west of the wye at Yuma JCT, and they're creeping their way towards Salina, though this crew won't make far past Beloit.

The majority of the KYLE Railroad from Limon, CO across Kansas is former Rock Island trackage, but the eastern most part of their system is comprised of interlaced former MP and UP branches that zig-zag towards Solomon, using the UP's former KP main into Salina. This is former Mo-Pac rails here, originally built by the Central Branch Union Pacific Railroad.

These MK50-3's are slowly riding off into the sunset, which is somewhat symbolic as their fate might be sealed with the arrival of SD40-2's from the RCPE earlier in the week. Of the 6 that have called the KYLE home, only these two were currently in service.

These were both originally MK5000C's built by Morrison-Knudsen. With the intention to compete with both EMD and GE, the MK5000C's featured CAT 3612 prime movers producing 5,000 hp, and for a brief period, both MK and Caterpillar held the title for most powerful locomotive with single prime mover, though they were quickly out shined by GE with the AC6000CW and later EMD with both the SD80MAC and SD90MAC. 6 total were built, 3 in August 1994 for demonstration on the Southern Pacific and three more in August 1995 for demonstration on the UP. Neither railroad was impressed with them, and they were returned after one year of demonstration. The high-horsepower program was terminated by MK Rail, and production was officially halted after the sale of MK Rail in 1996. MK Rail was renamed as MotivePower Industries, or "Boise Locomotive", and they later merged with Westinghouse Air Brake Company in 1999 to form Wabtec.

In 2001, the MK5000C's were tested and bought by UTAH Railway, though the CAT prime movers didn't prove successful for them. The solution was rebuilding them with EMD 3,500 hp 645-type engines, essentially being rebuilt as SD50's. Retaining their distinct cab's, noses and Dofasco trucks, these were designated as MK50-3's and returned to service for the UTAH. In 2017, all 6 were eventually moved to the KYLE.

Though it may be at the very end of their careers, I finally make a trip out here to shoot these engines. In the 8 years they've served on the KYLE, I never got around to chasing them. Not super close to come out here all the time, but also not too far to never make a trip. Thankfully, this spur of the moment trip was very successful. 10/4/25.

Georgia wildflowers grow alongside an exit ramp. This is part of the Georgia D.O.T.'s Wildflower Program which began in 1974 when Virginia Hand Callaway started the movement to plant and protect wildflowers on the roadsides. Later, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter met with Lady Bird Johnson to discuss the highly-successful Texas Wildflower Program. Following the trip, the Georgia D.O.T. enthusiastically endorsed the program for implementation here.

Not only are they pretty - and sometimes stunning - to look at, the program also helps to restore and preserve native flora, and because these native flowers are already adapted to soil and climate conditions, they need little to no maintenance.

A page from the official program of the Second Atlanta Pop Festival,1970. This program was subject to change and it did. Everyone started late and many played at a different time from what was shown here. The music went until the early hours of each morning. I was a big fan of Jethro Tull but he was a no show. The Allman Brothers did start and end the show but I did not get any pictures of them - they were no so famous in my neck of the woods at that time. Jimi Hendrix did play on the fourth of July with a big fireworks show.

This is a contemporary photo of the original tabloid size program printed on newsprint. The 4 photos of the program in this set reflect the complete program except for some advertisements that I did not photograph.

Many years ago at the Saarbrücken library I started reading my kid a story from a book of Russian fairy tales. It was quite long (a story of twists and turns it was) so we left the pretty princess emprisonned in an impregnable copper tower to be delivered by her hardy hearted suitor on the next Saturday. Damnation... the book was gone. And the next week it was not back yet. It didn'tshow up the week afterwards either. Then we moved out of Saarbrücken, and to this day, wonder how the story went on. And this is why I insist on owning the books I read. The facade here reminded me of the copper tower, but that still doesn't tell me the end of the story.

This is really different from the work that i have been producing lately, But it seems like i have one decent conceptual piece every week and half or so . It would be cool if i could create more conceptual photos everyday but i just cant seem to find the time to set everything up.

And i guess the concept behind this photo is all explained in the title.

I’d like to present my entry to the BrickLink Designer Program Series 1 - Bob’s Café and Johnny’s Bakery!

It has a chance to become a limited edition LEGO set, so if you like it, please consider voting for it! - www.bricklink.com/v3/designer-program/series-1/414/Bob's-...

The set idea contains two buildings: the corner building has a café on the ground floor, a LEGO fan's apartment on the first floor, and a nice, cosy roof terrace. The second building has a small bakery on the ground floor and a small apartment on the first floor; but there's also an attic where minifigures can store their old stuff they're not using.

These houses are modular, which means you can connect them using technic pins and you can also easily remove/add multiple floors to them, and they’re compatible with the new LEGO road system. They have a much smaller footprint than classic modular buildings, but the facades and interiors are really detailed, so I hope AFOLs and younger builders will like this set.

HUB is the control vessel of the "Program" faction. Basically it's an advanced rouge AI that can control any advanced enough device by overwriting their main code. One of these ships can control more than hundred different devices at once making it as a top priority target in any conflict. It's especially dangerous because all of the modern military vehicles use electronic assistance and that's why "HUB" can hijack tanks, planes, guided missiles etc.

The shape was inspired by the D-5 Mantis form Star Wars
