Zentangle inspired art piece: Zen Gems digitally tangled in Procreate on the IPad

This is NOT the painting I thought I was going to make tonight. I was following an “Intuitive Painting” tutorial on YouTube and my intuition went a whole other way from the tutorial. Fun.

Digital painting with ProCreate, IPad Pro, and Apple Pencil.

For Pete Smart, a very good guy!

This is an iPad painting, made with a beta version of ‪#‎iColorama‬, and Procreate. I used two images from Pete's collection as sources to make this.

Revision #1, I removed the third person, he just didn’t fit into the composition.

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (* 25. AUG 1930 in Edinburgh, Schottland; † 31. OCT 2020 in Nassau, Bahamas)

Made with iColorama, Procreate and Tangled FX, on an iPad Pro, with Apple Pencil.

I made this specifically to use on a card I was making in Bill and Sioux Atkinson's PhotoCard app (iOS). It is a great app, brilliantly crafted. The quality the printing, laminating, and the intelligence behind the process of sending these oversized post cards around the world, is impressive. The price is extremely fair, the quality is the best I have seen.

If you have been living under a rock, or if you were born to late to experience the emergence of the Macintosh Computers, Bill Atkinson is the extraordinary man whose work is the reason I bought my first Mac, in 1984/85, and why more than thirty years later, I am still passionate about Apple. His compassion is in the iPad I use, today.

For Aldo Pacheco.

This is an iPad painting, made with a beta version of #iColorama. I used several images from Aldo, as sources to make this.
